  • Thats disappointing to hear that from Toyota. Especially since Toyota owns Subaru.

    Makes you wonder don't it?

  • @Lexlus42 And they don't tell you all the models that made it. I own a Ford, Toyota, Volkswagen, Lexus, Hyundai and a Chrysler. But I don't know which owns made it. I do however know my Taurus got in that top safety list. And I do know my GS, Corolla, and Jetta didn't. We'll I'm not sure about my Hyundai its the 2011 Sonata made for next year.

  • @Lexlus42

But Subaru was smart by doing most of the work. If Toyota did a lot of work, BOOM. Subaru owners = DEATH. That would be sad to me because I LOVE the Impreza.

  • rally car based engineering would end up being the one that produces the best in roll over xD go figure

  • Superior engineering means safety, durability and quality are benefits - now if only the IIHS would find a way to confirm that Subaru's full-time AWD is superior to those part-time AWD /4WD systems used by Honda, Toyota, Volvo, Ford, GM, Chrysler, Mazda, and on some Audis....

  • Just more proof that Subaru's Ring-Shaped Reinforcement Frame is doing it's job on the whole Subaru lineup :D

As for Toyota, federal standards don't mean anything in the real world. And I'm disappointed in Honda.

It's funny to see Toyota, a partial owner of Subaru, not winning anything, while Subaru dominates the test.
