Fact: Perth is the most isolated capital city in the world. Rockingham is not technically in Perth, it's more like its own town.

Ice is a massive problem.

I felt a lot safer in busy central London than I did in quiet, deserted Perth.

@janee7791 London's a cool city but I've never lived there. Spent 23 yrs in Perth. I'm not the only negative one. 'The West Australian' newspaper published an article on the front page that named Perth 'Dullsville'.

The name's stuck because it's accurate. Everything shuts early and the place is like a ghost town after 5:30pm. The people of Perth don't want anything to change. Low lying buildings, no daylight savings, no nothing. It's just, so... *yawn*... BORING

@janee7791 oh and as for crime, our house was burgled many times and we lived in Nedlands which is apparently a good area. Either way Perth had not just petty crime, there was a proper serial killer in another really posh area - claremont. They never found the guy. Girls walking home after a night out were abducted and raped/killed. Then there's the whole bikie issue. There's bikie hangouts everywhere.
