@Drekman1 For the record, Jay-gon Jinn is my Star Wars "handle" that was inspired by the character Qui-gon Jinn in Star wars Episode I. I've been using it for the last ten years.....
I really like this saber Jay-gon. Is that a CF board? By the way, how do you usually keep your overlays on the main body hilts? I want to do something like this to my Clone Wars styled hilt I'm doing in a few months, Its going to have a cheapo Hasbro soundboard from walmart. Only way to go for now so I might as well ya know.
This saber has a cF in it now, but when I shot this video, it had a damaged Ultrasound 1.0 in it.
The shrouds are usually held in place by a screw....on this saber, it is held by the screw for the CT belt clip wheel and the screws that secure the clamp.
He's me....I biuld sabers for a hobby, and "Jay-gon Jinn" is just a screen name I created a long time ago for a Star Wars forum, and it's just stuck with me ever since.
Sorry, I just noticed this comment....no, it's an ultrasound 1.0 that was malfunctioning...there was no motion sound effects for some reason. The board has since been replaced with another custom soundboard.
It is made from a clear, polycarbonate plastic, the same material safety glasses are made from. The metallic look is from the clear plastic film that is rolled up inside it.
It might be a trick of the camera, as well as the blade type, which is a custom style that I make myself. It's been sanded lightly on the inside, and then has about 8 feet of polypropelyne film added to even the light distibution. That saber also has a 1500mah K2 green istalled, so it might be that, too.
I gotta ask Jay, how long did she take you to build? it's a beauty, also where did you get the sleeve for her? I am looking at maybe putting a sleeve on Fury when she gets redesigned a fraction.
the color scheme for your 3 brass sabers is just fantastic, I love them ^_^
The brass sleeve came from an online plumbing site. I had to have the aluminum parts machined to fit inside the tube. It took a few weeks to build it, as I was doing it at the same time as my Brass Saber #3.
sell me it for 10$

Actually, I currently go by QUI-GON-JINN at the FX-Sabers site. I am one of the moderators there.
But I liked the character of Qui-gon, and modeled my interent forums name after his. It blends a bit of my real name with his.

This saber uses the Modulkar Pommel System from TCSS. It makes a huge difference!
