Thanks. Although most of my ouds are Arabic, this one in particular is Armenian Made (by luthier Artin Hatun, in Itanbul Turkey, from the 80's).

Almost all Om-Kulthom's songs are great songs, but all of Baligh's composers for Om-Kulthom are fantastic. I can not name one single song for Om-Kulthom that was composed by Baligh that is not good enough. Sirt El-Hob is as fantastic as Al-Atlal, but in a tenderness way. Good play Prof.

Indeed Spartason. It has been alway in my mind that comparison between OM Kalthoum's composers was a mission-impossible, simply because each one has a unique style. It's like comparison between precious gems.....all are great, yet no one is better than the other !

However, with regard to Baligh I have always felt that he was a brilliant and "smart" composer...I don't know how to explain that in more words, keeping in mind he was a lot younger than those other big name composers at that time !
