Thank you for posting this video! I'm in the process of learning ASL and find you to be easy to follow. Please keep posting your informative videos! It's very much appreciated!
As an ASL teacher I agree with you 100%. Interestingly enough, because I teach high school, and students come in with the misconception it will be EASY, I get a lot of backlash from students and parents alike - all year long! The parent say "It's JUST sign language" what makes it so hard?! They have no clue!
I'm an interpreter and love watching your videos. Can you tell me what the sign is around 3:58. It is a bent V hand shape on your cheek. I'm thinking it means "someone marked with experience, but I'm not sure. Thanks!! Love watching your videos!!
Just an interesting note. I had watched this video yesterday, and was also puzzled about the same sign. So today I was chatting with a deaf friend(husband is a Gally teacher) and she explained the sign to mean "Hell no" ... regional thing i guess!
Hi Toby! I read an article recently that rated ASL as a category 5 language meaning that it is just as hard to learn as Chinese. Many people think ASL is easy to learn...huge misconception!
i agree with you 100% first i learned some sign language from what you would call a robot teacher and then later/now from a deaf asl teacher the difference was amazing i learned a lot more with the teachers i have now...although i still appreciate some of the knowledge my previous teacher gave me i wish more ppl learning asl could experience the great asl teachers that involve the culture community and different aspects of sign language instead of robot teachers...great video:)
Your VLOG is interesting and I agree with the ASL teaching part. The robot part is not a good expereince and it wouldn't help the student learn much. By a REAL ASL user who knows ASL and Deaf Culture -- Like you mentioned can help the hearies learn much what they deserve to know. I know it is not a easy job, but very REWARDING.
what is good teacher, lol.

Can anyone tell me what this is about. I'm having trouble telling what he's saying. I'm a slow learner in ASL.
