Help me understand! Why do atheists and agnostics have significantly higher IQ's (on average) than Christians? And why does the increasing proportion of agnostics and atheists correlate to improved education and the information revolution?

Sin:any act regarded as such a transgression, especially a willful or deliberate violation of some religious or moral principle. God sent His prefect Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins. This way I don't have to reply in kind if someone insults me and I can help promote happiness and equality for all human beings. Some believe, some don't. That is free will. My eternity rests in Christ's hands and my heart breaks for those who's eternity rests elsewhere. My God is a God of love. Humans take things into their own hands and have a sin nature. That is the whole point. To be saved from this sin nature. Everyone still sins, me included, but true believers are also forgiven.
I belive in god, as a young women my life is getting more complicated as ever, but i know god will b there 4 me to help me out of terrors of life. I do love god's work and i pray to him. I never wanna drift away and lose faith in him.

But that doesn't mean we can get saved by faith and continue to live in sin. The sign of a true Christian is that he will no longer desire to sin because the Holy Spirit enters into him. We are to Admit, Believe, Confess, and Repent.
We are not saved by obediance to the law. Cause if we were to rely on obediance to the law to recieve salvation we would be doomed to hell for all eternity. Cause in order to recieve salvation by works we would have to be completely obediant to the law. But nobody can be perfectly obediant. So all fall short of the glory of God. We are saved by faith in Jesus Christ who was perfectly obediant to the law.

@jjazxd because we don't claim that we love all of humanity or that we can save all of them if we weren't so lazy. and lucky you for having your dad get stronger. but what about us who have done nothing wrong then? even the opposite? my family is made of entirely doctors trying to help the less fortunate. guess what? my cousin gets hit by a car, my aunt gets breast cancer, my grandpa is going blind and my grandma had a stroke and can now barely walk. how else can you explain these phenomena?
@garvian well im sorry for the bad things that happened to you, but just because something good happened to me, doesn't mean i did good things to deserve it, or vise versa. Things happen for a reason. Maybe they were aging and as human are vulnerble to diseases at older ages, it happens to many people.
My grandma was borned normally, but became blind in her 40s, but she prayed, and was healed later on, and now she lives a normal life again.
So maybe God is giving them a chance to exp. somthng
@PokerPlum well personally myself, do you see often someone rebellious, suicidal change into someone obedient and being religious? As i look at my life in the past, i can see that God had always been by myself, in good and bad, waiting for me to stop my childish tantrum.
If that's not good enough, others, such as my dad, who have doubted the bible, being healed (no need for glasses), no more neck pain, & directly talked to God through prayers.

I'm just 18 years old and have seen God working through many people, changing them. From addicts from whatever to a mature man of God. And other religions, are just beliefs, morals, ethics. There are people who helps africa is there not? @retrogamerist the resurrection of Christ. the body has not been found. if it were stolen by the apostles, they would have buckled under the torture they had pressed on them and the lie would have come to light. instead, they had seen the Lord risen, and was willing to be tortured and killed, because they were sure of His resurrection. this is all that i need to believe.

People are constantly placing the good things and the bad things that happen to them in life without taking responsibility for the fact that maybe your mom beat cancer because she was resilient and she persevered. @samwgdavis I guess it's called faith for a reason. I have tried searching for jezus. My parents were religious, i used to go to a religious school and all but ultimately found nothing but a big lie. I'm more into spiritualism and having self-respect. It made me happier than christianity ever could.

The big bang may be a theory, but there's a hell of a lot more evidence for it than there is for god. Science makes a lot more sense than basing your beliefs on a storybook that can't be validated, or an entity that can't be perceived in any way.

Humans take things into their own hands and have a sin nature. That is the whole point. To be saved from this sin nature. Everyone still sins, me included, but true believers are also forgiven.

We are not saved by obediance to the law. Cause if we were to rely on obediance to the law to recieve salvation we would be doomed to hell for all eternity. Cause in order to recieve salvation by works we would have to be completely obediant to the law. But nobody can be perfectly obediant. So all fall short of the glory of God. We are saved by faith in Jesus Christ who was perfectly obediant to the law.

@jjazxd because we don't claim that we love all of humanity or that we can save all of them if we weren't so lazy. and lucky you for having your dad get stronger. but what about us who have done nothing wrong then? even the opposite? my family is made of entirely doctors trying to help the less fortunate. guess what? my cousin gets hit by a car, my aunt gets breast cancer, my grandpa is going blind and my grandma had a stroke and can now barely walk. how else can you explain these phenomena?

@garvian well im sorry for the bad things that happened to you, but just because something good happened to me, doesn't mean i did good things to deserve it, or vise versa. Things happen for a reason. Maybe they were aging and as human are vulnerble to diseases at older ages, it happens to many people.
My grandma was borned normally, but became blind in her 40s, but she prayed, and was healed later on, and now she lives a normal life again.
So maybe God is giving them a chance to exp. somthng

If that's not good enough, others, such as my dad, who have doubted the bible, being healed (no need for glasses), no more neck pain, & directly talked to God through prayers.

If they made the songs complicated half the worship leaders wouldn't be able to play them, and moreover, the complicated music would distract from the powerful message.
Ignore the music and have a read through the lyrics. And why not talk to God about what you think about what they say?

Both her lungs were unable to stop bleeding.Drs said that not even a lung transplant would save her.I remember how in the supernatural God used Moses to part the red sea.So I prayed God in the supernatural power You gave Moses I ask You to close my daughter's lungs like You did to the red sea.I had a scripture in every IV bottle. She flat line 8 times and was suppose to be brain dead. Drs call it miraculous.

Big bang Theories (its not a "law" where it's for sure)
so all how Earth was created by how modern people believe (in BB theory) is pretty unstable.
However, Bible, which has more than thousands of events and other things that validate it's genuine.

no, but bible does talk about exodus, moses, abraham, jesus. And historians do not disagree with its historic truth value.

@samwgdavis I guess it's called faith for a reason. I have tried searching for jezus. My parents were religious, i used to go to a religious school and all but ultimately found nothing but a big lie. I'm more into spiritualism and having self-respect. It made me happier than christianity ever could.
In short, nobody needs jezus to be happy or to be a good human.

My friend, I can imagine how much you are dispooed, if you watch around, mostly you can see dead religions calles "christianity".
To be honest, I am attending to a religious school, and i agree with you, I can't really find anything there.
But. You might know Jesus personally. And it is a living realtionship with God. Not a dead religion, nor following rules which are leading nowhere, but a living, happy, peaceful relationship, with God. I think it's a great deal. You should consider it :)

The big bang may be a theory, but there's a hell of a lot more evidence for it than there is for god. Science makes a lot more sense than basing your beliefs on a storybook that can't be validated, or an entity that can't be perceived in any way.
