Amazing. The approaches are completely different. Rutherford had a good common sense approach and kept experimenting to find anomalies. When he found an anomaly, he would experiment in this area until he could find a reason for it. Bohr on the other hand used a mathematical approach. Bohr also tried to bring together the truths discovered by others and was not afraid to challenge old theories.
