Can some one tell me how old you have to be to do thouse battles. i heard you have to be 16 and up to do battles but i was just wanting know if that was true
18 is the age limit for doing regular heavy weapons fighting (so, in other words, you are a consenting adult). Under that you have to do youth combat, but they have age ranges for youth combat so you usually only go up against someone the same size/age as you.
its not wood its actuly a kind of bambo so its relly a grass, and the force we get then we fight is not for playing,many fighters get concussions, the armour standards are wery strikt so if u whana fight like we do with steel weaponery you'll die pritty fast, thats whay we dont juse steel cuz we whont to fell the kick of geting in to close cortes and dont think about that how hard we hit so we kill the oponent.

yes 16 and up to fight in sca, but can start training at 14, and participate in fighter practice.

It depends on the kingdom really, Calontir we allow 16 year olds to fight, but I've heard others say you must me 18 first.

i am still a child i use a wooden sword for practice, i acually posses a carbon steel longsword, but i dont think i am experienced enough

There are some groups that use the real deal, but they're not SCA, there's froups like ARMA, which use Real Swords and so forth
