Absolutely gorgeous! This is my favorite Suite. I've recently been trying my hand at the Menuet on piano. I'll have to post a video once I finally have it down. I'm so glad someone made an arrangement of this beautiful music for guitar as well :)
Thank you for posting this piece, you are both vey insightful players with wonderful talent! My personal favorite rendition of this work is by the brilliant Russian pianist Anton Batagov-if you have not heard this, please do yourself a favor and find it. Please post more of your work. Thanks again!
WOW! Did you play the entire piece? I love Ravel and you sounded great regardless what the guy before me said. I'd like to hear this piece scored for any type of combination at any time and played by many people of various skill levels. How about that?
I fail to see how this is "helping the guitar live in the past". The majority of the works written for guitar were composed between the last half of the 18th century-midway of the 20th century. I'd much rather have pieces like this from Ravel, which have substance and significance to the history of music, performed on the guitar than any of the trite insignificant composition for the guitar that most people are putting out today (i.e. Andrew York....although that's just my personal opinion).
Will you arrange the toccata one day ? It would really be great ! Well it would be quite difficult too but according to me it would sound great played by guitars, due to the writing of the piece itself.
I had arranged some of these for woodwind quintet, however they are great on the guitar. There is an elegant classical structure to these pieces, that is somewhat obscured by the 20th century harmony. Great playing and great arrangements. You should publish them, try D'Oz in Quebec, they would be interested.
Thanks for the comment. This is an amazing piece of music. I also arranged the minuet and rigaudon which we performed in the same recital. I'll probably be posting those as well.

Your arrangements? That's great. Please post up the Minuet and Rigaudon - I'd love to hear them. Did you perform the Forlane too?
