Ugh these genderbenders sound absolutely TERRIBLE! They offer little to no originality other than lowering and making a pitch higher on an existing song.
If you like vocaloids sounding like crackheads, this is the way to go. But to the experienced ear these benders don't make the cut, really they just plain suck. UTAU is much more original than stealing vocaloid's voices.

All others are fake fanmades made by tweeking the voices (lowering pitch). Gakupoid and Megupoid are a seperate series I believe, developed by (Yamaha?)
I'm not entirely sure myself. I know some of the songs of a lot of the real vocaloids, I just don't know much about the vocaloids themselves. I'm still relatively new to the whole VOCALOID thing.
You listed 5! ^^ I thought there were more than that. Those are the Crypton ones. There are others by different developers; I'm pretty sure they're still vocaloids though.
^^; Sorry, if it makes it any better I don't see why that would stop Mikuo from using Shogoki (and being yandere), it's just for the end .
But you do know that Kaworu says all sorts of "songs are nice" type stuff in the show, audio drama and it's scripts so a Vocaloid isn't totally unfitting there.
Part of the reason I love Mikuo so much is because he sounds a little like Len. Most of it is because he's awesome, PLUS he's the only Vocaloid/Fanmade guy who can rock the skirt look (besides Len and his banana fairy costume, but that doesn't count).
I love Mikuo's skirt, I have so many adorable pics of him like that! Listening to this song makes me think of him in an EVA pilot suit though haha~ His voice gives the song a nice touch, like it's full of lament in a way, but at the same time, you can hear determination or resolution in his voice...Ah, I sound stupid now, I'll just back out already...
@SaraForever15 the song (Cruel Angel Thesis) is the opening to the original anime called Evangelion. The most wacked-out psychological mess you'll see, but a fantastic story none-the-less. Just don't try to make too much sense out of it or you'll twist your brain. Personally, loved it and the remake (Evangelion 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone), and I'm eagerly awaiting Evangelion 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance. Hopefully the remakes will finally make a coherent ending... *fingers crossed*.
@CloudCereal553 It's depression in a box lol. It's a good show, except for the main character being uberly depressed in almost every episode. Warning in advance, the last two episodes are an acid trip. I don't do drugs, I'm insane enough without resorting to poisoning myself, but I thought I was high the whole time lol.
I'm not sure if she was able to report it since we couldn't find where to report it to but it seems that person also got it from somewhere else and here comence the searching chain. But at least you gave the credit and we thank you for it ^^
