Any idea of racing? Car-position, racing-line, passing-spots, traffic? The Cayman had a 4.0L Engine and the class allowed a 100 kilo difference between these two cars in favour of the cayman.
@vlnfreak24 I'm sorry I thought it was 3.4L as it is the biggest being offered. If this is the case, then why the hell is this not being offered in the Cayman/Boxster? Will it make the 911 more overpriced than it is right now?
@unknownunknowns I'm sure you are a racing enthusiast like myself, so I feel you should know that at this level of competition displacement doesn't win races. Look at formula 1

@unknownunknowns: Engine size has nothing to do with it, especially since the Porsche is using power adders (turbos) and the Corvette is naturally aspirated.

Naja, war damals eine kastrierte GT3-Corvette die man reglements-bedingt in der GT-Masters nur mit H-Pattern fahren durfte. Leider wurde sie dann wegen zu gringer Steifigkeit fallen gelassen und man hat sich auf ein Eigenbau konzentriert. Die GT3 hatte schon einen 6. Gang, nur war es bis hierhin noch viel zu lang übersetzt. ^^
