v65s will purr at 2000 rpms or sing fortissimo at 10000. very unique bike for being designed as a sport cruiser. my dad has an 83 v65 that i ride alot. only cracked it open a few times but i know what the bike is capable of, my buddy is gettin a new cbr 600. i say i could smoke him. he says no, wat do u guys think?
ok...your dad dropped money on a V45 that still cant beat a v65. a 1985 V65 Magna can do low 10's...no replacement for displacement bro...jet a V65 and put a Muzzy pipe on it and you have a 9 second bike.The fastest factory bike in the 1/4th was the Suzuki GS 1150 and itd do it in 10 flat...the magna would top end it....A Ninja ZX7 will do 9's...no factory V45 will ever dream of that. A ZX11 Ninja will do low 9's...no 1100 cc bike from the 70's or 80s can do that from the factory...sorry.
my dad has a re-jetted v45 750 magna with stage 3 exhaust... it runs a 10.9 quarter, i dont understand what the point of the extra 350cc is for when re-jetting it and putting a stage 3 pipe will make a v45 beat a v65? and just to comment on this video. anything with the same size engine as the magnas, will get merked. if your racing a v45(750) and a 750cc crotchrocket, the magna will do the quarter faster, and same with v65 and a 1100cc crotchrocket, but top speed most rockets have it..
No they both did not let off the gas half way down the track, the kawasaki did but listen closely, the magna was still giving it all it had all the way to the end.

Oh hell yes they are...I still have my 87 V65 Magna....It still runs like a raped ape...It will stand with just about any modern bike...

No they both did not let off the gas half way down the track, the kawasaki did but listen closely, the magna was still giving it all it had all the way to the end.
