im actually thinking about throwing a pair of these in my schecter wich currently has some duncan designed hb-105 pickups (sd's "affordable" blackouts), but heres the deal, i have an ibanez rg that is set up fairly close to mick's, just with v7/v8 pickups, and i know that there is a HUGE tone difference between the schecter and ibanez, mainly that the ibanez has a "lighter" tone to it, so with these being tuned for an ibanez, would they be to "woofy" in my schecter?

@dtoxproductions but the natrual sound of a fender is ALOT lighter than a schecter, you have to take into consideration that the wood sounds alot different between schecter and fender (i know because i have an hss strat as well) and the fender has less of a chance of being too bassy because of the natrual tone. id have no problem throwing these in my fender or ibanez, but im worried about the scheter because theyre built basically like gibsons in a way, REALLY heavy. therefore, exessive bass.

This seems like a pickup that I would want to try out when I have the money to purchase it. I'm not going to expect too much even though one of my favorite guitarists in one of my favorite bands happens to use it although it seems like it would sound pretty good, it seems specialized for downtuned riffs. Thet sell it at the guitar center website for about $200 for a full set (Bridge and neck pickup). So I'll check it out sometime.
