When Emmett Till was 7 years old...I was given life....when I was 7 years old....Emmett Till's life was over. I didn't learn about this in my history book. I learned about this from my parents who were outraged, as were all the other white families in my neighborhood. As a 7 year old child...I didn't quite understand what was happening...but as an adult...it truly infuriates me to think a human being can do something as sick and evil as this to a child and go unpunished.
