Elvis was original but he he probably was influenced by musicians while growing up. That's the way it usually is. When you look at Entertainers like Al Jolson,he used to drop to one knee while singing so Elvis may have been influenced by him.He did sound original so that was a plus.Anyone who thinks these guys are a joke obviously know nothing about music or entertainment. You have to be in their shoes to understand!
great! i m a French ETA and i hope make a contest in USA next year, cause i never been to USA and for me it s a dream ,so i you want to tell me what do you think of my way to perform and sing Elvis ,i got a Promo video on my channel, call MELVIS BOUVEY ELVIS TRIBUTE promo
Regards and thanks you very much....Mel from France
at least they are helping to keep his name alive,im sure he would just like fans to remember him, and not embarress him as they were doing and as for the bus they were on lol
Right from the beginning ELVIS never tried sound like somebody neither did he like to be someone, and he told Sam Phillips at Sun Records "I sound like nobody". Long Live The King, for today 250,000 ETAs worldwide are trying to be him, great and cheers everyone; for each one of you, including myself in some ways, attributes, characteristics, images and sounds is astoundingly ELVIS.

i like matt cordell ive saw him in person hes so sweet and cute. I cant beleive they didnt put dwight thru or whats his face lol i swear that guy in the beginning taking pics with ppl looked like eddie miles? anyone know if it was him please
@TheDwightfan2011 It was him! I've met Eddie a number of times and that was him! His large fanbase, including myself, were backing him last year as we are again this year! He just won the preliminary at harrah's cherokee!
From the clips in this video that I noticed, each on of the ETA's seemed to adlib the moves, and the one guy who was doing Polk Salad Annie moved the opposite way that Elvis did. Kinda like watching him perform in a mirror. Not crazy about these contestants. Oh by the way, Doug Church - YOU'RE OVERRATED.
@xDismantleMex I believe that's Cody Slaughter...from what I recently read, he was only 18 or 19 here and it was his fist time he was allowed to enter this contest. I'm not a big ETA fan...but, mark my words, in the world of ETA's Cody is DEFINITELY going to be someone to be reckoned with in the very near future. I stumbled on his youtube videos about 2 years ago, and really thought he had "something". I recently saw his newer youtube stuff and he's taken it up to a whole new level.

The best young elvis by a mile is jim barone. I know he looks or hasnt got elvis actions that well but his voice is unbelievable. N im sure u seen him at the very start of this clip.
The first time I saw Justin he was about 17 or 18 and I tell you has has just improved with age. He is an EXCELLENT entertainer and really does justice to Elvis!
@trainiride yeah. not a big fan of 70's elvis. I think the only reason why elvis was famous in the 70's was because he was elvis. But still I love Elvis anyways
@trainiride because there really no one good enough to imeprsonate or imitate the 50s/ Pre-Army Elvis becasue that's the absolute n uncorrupted Elvis completely Elvis 100%! That's why like how no one can imitate you when ur 100% you! :) The 70s Elvis had been somewhat tarnish n tainted by some many bad influences!
@trainiride Justin does every era, and I do believe the first round he did the 50’s. And the last round he did the 70's. But who doesn’t like a guy in a jumpsuit belting it out at the top of his lungs, because that's what sells. Lots of ETA's do the eras in order here so just because you see them in jumpsuits doesn't always mean they just do the 70's, and just because they are in the 50's or 60's outfits doesn't mean they can't do the 70's. But yes some ETA's just do one era, true.
WELL--THE- BEST-- WON--JUSTIN SHANDOR-----AND HE IS THE BEST ELVIS TRIBUTE ARTIST, IN THE WORLD, FROM FANS----------GREAT JOB JUSTIN. THE VERY BEST OF LUCK , AND GOD BLESS. WE ALL LOVE YOU......

1950s appearance wise, I think Cody Slaughter has 'em all beat. But they all looked pretty spot on. And they have wonderful voices!

Can someone tell me who the young guy is on stage when they're announcing the top 5 finalists, he's stood next to the man who's name is called first?

Justin does a fantastic 50's as does Travis Allen and Victor Trevino.
Probably the best is Donny Edwards just my opinion. Everybody has their own idea of Elvis so its always a matter of opinion.

@Zohar2009 "Bridge Over Troubled Water", originally done by Simon & Garfunkel....but Elvis' version blows theirs out of the water.
