there's no more pre-recorded parts in this performance than at their regular live shows... and lots of timing fluff to prove it.. but i was surprised how similar a guitar sound he gets with the LP compared to the strat he usually uses.. not a lot of difference at all... a lot of it's in those herdim pics i think..
@ 0:34 "Happy birthday Cannes!" @ 0:42 "1,2,3,60(!!!!)" @ 2:46 "the whole world is yours" @ 3:40 "i am tripping" @ "4:00 We are in Canne lika at home, this beach i slept often and tonight it is magnificient" @ 9:40 "Thanks and see you soon"!
It was live except for edge. Whatever he was playing was added to the mix, but very low. I'm guessing he couldn't get all his gear there in time. Notice how he has few effects and only the one AC-30 amp. I think he made a run to the local guitar shop to borrow whatever he had there. You can hear this clearly in Vertigo (during the album solo) and Streets right after the intro when the song picks up you can hear both sounds.
Well at least for streets he wouldnt need much more. The AC30, modulated delay (=a cheap pod) and some herdim plecks would be enought for him to create the streets sound where 90% wouldnt even notice a large difference.
That wasn't a solo. It was just what he plays normally in the song, but is drowned out by the louder chords he's playing. There are 2 guitar parts in the song.

Ok the performance is a bit sukcy, but they was not on tour, and their gear is probably not their own... U2's gear sounds alot better... thats one of the reasons edge uses les paul on where the street have no name...
largely prerecorded i dont think so. vocals? no, drums? no, bass? no, part of The edge's riffs? Yes. See its impossible for him to playing rhythm guitar while doing a solo at the same time.
why edge is playing WTSHNN with an epiphone?? he always use a Strat for this song

@Albe28Co It's pre-recorded (well the guitar is anyway)

Who was mimicing the Edge guitar play at 4:14? Was that Javier Bardem?

This is how Vertigo and Where the Streets Have No Name would sound even without too many pre-recorded sounds...STILL GREAT!!!

I count two AC30s Spider. I doubt he made a run to the guitar store :-)

There's something with Adam's bass. Sounds like it's detuned or something.
