The meaning of Vergissmeinnicht it is NOT "dont forget me", it's FORGET MY "NOT", which basically means to forget that he said "no". Anyone whos being saying its "dont forget me" clearly knows nothing of german as "Me" in german is "mich" or "mir(dativ)" and please stop teaching people wrong.

my german exchange student when i was there told me Vergissmeinnicht was the name of a flower in the mountains, so i'm about 99.99% sure its means the flower "Forget Me Not"

Yeh he's right, it's "forget me not". I don't understand much German to be honest but "ein letztes Licht" = "a last light" and "bleib bei mir" = "stay with me". I think that's about all I know in this song. Something about hearts and jealousy.
