hahaha this wuz so funny. my SUMMIT teacher used this video 2 teach us about proteins. he said it wuz the worst video he found on youtube but i enjoyed it. learning should b funny and enjoyable like this. but harold the protein guy... well tht part wuz kinda (cough) weird. make sumthing about like mitosis or meiosis idc make it good! ha cnt get it outa my head, gona show this 2 all my friends. @('o')@ <(this isnt a monkey)
Also insuline comes from geneticly mutated bactera. They cut part of the DNA ring in a bacteria and fill the hole with human DNA makeing the bactera produce human insulin. which is later injected into a diabetic's body 4 times a day. so being a (type one) diabetic sucks don't make fun of them.
lol honestly i have no idea about any of this stuff, i just watched the video we already had and wrote down what it covered. In fact this video doesn't really make as much sense without the context of the first horrifically boring video. Also, I'm only making fun of Wilford Brimley about the way he says diabetes.
ha ha i kind of figured i just love biology and i treasure knowledge so i like to show it off some times XD. Also the diabetes thing just buged me a little because my little sister has type one. were the pancreas just stops no one real knows why.
... The ribosome moves from codon to codon along the mRNA. Amino acids are added one by one, translated into polypeptidic sequences dictated by DNA and represented by mRNA. At the end, a release factor binds to the stop codon, terminating translation and releasing the complete polypeptide from the ribosome.
ha ha you definitely found a more entertaining way to explain it.... you talked about the types of protains not how there made.
2. Translation The ribosome binds to the mRNA at the start codon that is recognized only by the initiator tRNA. The ribosome proceeds to the elongation phase of protein synthesis. During this stage, complexes, composed of an amino acid linked to tRNA, sequentially bind to the appropriate codon in mRNA by forming complementary base pairs with the tRNA anticodon.
Before protein synthesis begins the corresponding RNA molecule is produced by RNA transcription. One strand of the DNA double helix is used as a template by the RNA polymerase to synthesize a mRNA. This mRNA migrates from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. During this step mRNA goes through different types of maturation including one called splicing when the non-coding sequences are eliminated. The coding mRNA sequence can be described as a unit of three nucleotides called a codon.
i like this version better than the rant my biology teacher gives to me, honestly so do me, and all the other people suffering from a snore-fest in biology a favor and keep it this way :)
Yes, I want to thank you on behalf of all who seek to learn this crap, I am struggling to learn and I think I might be that much smarter seeing the Matrix cow and the old guy...
Thank you again and I pray you make yet another fine example of what goes on in my body.
hahahahaha awsome, educational and funny, good job , keep up the good work. I hate that old guy.he talks so slow that i actually memorized the entire commercial
A massive load of pseudo-scientific bollocks. Not terrible but pretty damn awful. Don't get the point, not funny and not educational, could have been even worse but then it would have been SHITE!
nah, i actually agree, but like I said before, you have to see the other movie we had in our class to truly appreciate this one, it parodies a lot of stuff from it.

it didnt really teach me about protein synthesis, like that whole RNA and DNA process thing .. but it taught me a lot about proteins.
i totally dont get all this stuff in biology
thanks! it was quite an interesting video and has contributed to my knowledge of proteins

yeah, the whole reason I made this was to make a better video than we had, you have to watch the original movie to really appreciate this video
