At the time this version of Gradus 2 was released, it was the best version of Gradius 2 to be released, until Gradius Deluxe Pack for PSX and Sega Saturn. Of course this version contains an extra stage (as well as extra lives hidden in the extra stage) that no other port of Gradius got, so it still stands as one of the best arcade to home conversions of Gradius 2.
