  • Cool... but I did not like this black canvas showing...Can not be other material ?

  • That was awesome

  • how much did it cost for you to build sir?

  • @lakersfan132 well the build cost for everything was about £700.

  • solamente con lona??? con suerte te durara unos meses

  • Such a big effort for little produce.

  • @AikenBruce cunt

  • Thats a wonderful pond! My dad and I are planning to make a pond as well next year when my turtles get bigger. :)

  • i love it ! and the fish look happy aswell.

  • VERY NICE POND.....BUT IF I WAS U I WILL WORK AN HOUR MORE AND MAKE MYSELF A HOME MADE SWIMMING POOL INSTEAD OF FISH TANK ...FUK THE FISH THEY R HAPPY IN THE AQUARIUM

  • @mohsinmaqboolranjha :) a very valid comment, however I think it would have taken a bit longer than a few more hours and I really dont think I would have had enough room...maybe one day though :)

  • Thanks for sharing idea....

  • @pakchu100 :) no worries :)

  • Wow that's a real nice job.

I wonder if you help me with something. We have a fish pond roughly about the same size as this one. Earlier this year a rock fell in from our rockery, and has obviously punched a hole in the lining. Its not a major leak, but we do have to top it up on a regular basis. Some of our koi are over 10 years old. I was wondering if there's some type of quick fix to this? or will I have to transfer the fish out and replace the lining with new?

  • @RichyJam2011 Hello and thanks for your comment. to answer your question regarding the leaking liner and the puncture that it has, I feel sure that something will be available, however, I feel that you really do need to seek professional help and guidence on this matter as the bonding agent will obviously need to be fish friendly...sorry I cant help you more.

  • nice pond, u shud get sum lights to go inside it so it shine on a night

  • @pmest good idea, something I may just do :)

  • @pmest You should go back to English 101.

  • Could legit turn that into a pool

  • @saxenavictor lol, perhaps :)

  • That's off the hook man, A+

  • @vinniemac626 Cheers, nice comment :)

  • The pond looks really lovely, well done x

  • @braska19 thanks very much for your kind comment :)

  • I am going to get out a backhoe and work on a pond this fall in my yard... I hope mine looks half as nice as yours thanks for the video. Did you have someone pour your concrete or did you mix it? Also, if you had it to do over wouldyou have built your pretty brick over the top of your black liner so you could see the brick work or is there a reason you did not do that? Thanks

  • @SReeves337 thanks for you comment :) the water level does now come up to the "pretty bricks" , these pictures where taken during the ponds first fill. I mixed all the concrete myself in a wheel barrow. hope your pond turns out well my friend

  • i'd love to have a pond in my garden,!

  • @TheCelticmaori well get out you spade and follow my video and you will have one sooner than you think, its physically demanding, but I would love to help you with questions and support :)

  • ummmm i got a qustion is this a god dam HMH,HMHM GET GOD DAM

  • I rather have a big aqarium

  • @Jedhaase :) each to their own I guess, but thanks for stopping by for a view

  • @sixstringbiker welcome, nice video though :)

  • What a riot ha!

  • @dec1rhy2 :) many thanks for your comment

  • it looks like you cemented the cap stones on over the plastic liner. Very bad idea.

  • @MickScarborough the cap stones are laid on top of bricks, the liner is one course down. I think it does show this on the video where the liner is trimmed and set into the brick work, I guess if it ever gets slpit and/or needs replace the I will have a running batton, but till then it sees ok so far. Thanks for your comment though

  • wierd everyone seems to forget about that cats and FOXES

  • @GossyNke :) they so do... lol

  • @orovo101 hello, around £700 :)

  • well done looks cool :)

  • @unitedben14 :) thanks for your great comment :)

  • How much did this cost all together for u to DIY. And how much do you think It would cost for a business to do it?

  • @JustinSticks hello, well thats a tricky one to answer as I did it purely as a personal DIY project, but based on what is the normal for labour around where I live, which is around £150 per day then this project inclusive of all materials, filtration, pump, hoses etc would cost around £1500 to £1800 plus VAT. As a DIY project it was around £700 to £800. I hope this has answered your question. :)

  • Turned out nice. Mighty purty.

  • @815Rider :) many thanks for your comment

  • hi brit

  • @The5starSTUNNNA HI :)

  • what kind of foundation did u put under the cement blocks?

  • @krnman1 I compacted the ground then set concrete footings about 8 inches (200mm). once this had cured I set about the brick work :)

  • @sixstringbiker awesome thanks! im still trying to figure out how to make a pond with filter piping and all. a bit confusing at the moment :P

  • great job!

  • @Mrssd03 :) Thank you for your comment :)

  • @bindi154 thats a lovely thing to say :)

  • @bindi154 :) ok....best friend lol

  • How much did whole thing cost you?? 'am looking to build one for me too

  • @80mustang80 it cost about £700, but thats everything including the pump and filtration.

  • Random cat at 1:11

  • @mmcutie2007 haha....thats Floyd :)

  • how long did it take for you to build this pond

  • @cooldc129 hello, the whole thing took 5 days start to finish :)

  • @cooldc129 it took 5 days to build, working about 10 hours a day, so 50 hours :)

  • wtf? i thought all you had to do was dig a hole and then put some water in it.

  • @josepineroify :) lol...well thats all it actually is...plus a bit of a wall and a pump..lol :)

  • cool

  • @DamonUNC1993 :) thanks buddy

  • @DamonUNC1993 :) thanks buddy

  • is that koi fish?

  • @Arctic619Wolf :) yes they mostly are, and a few standard gold fish too :)

  • whats the name of the song

  • @ShadowBIazes :) you know, many have asked this question and to be fair I found it on here in the audio swap section....I'm not sure whats its called though, really sorry that I cant help you more on this matter

  • you can still see the black plastic you shouldn't show that won't looks good :|

  • @SchmyohoLovah Hi, this was a first fill, its now above the black liner :)

  • @SchmyohoLovah Stop being picky. It's obvious to see the pond was only half full at that stage. I think it looks fantastic.

  • @rudyprotrudy08 ahh....thanks you for not only your wonderful comment but also for your support, Ive been asked why my pond appears half full so many time, I guess it isnt obvious to everyone :) have added you in as a friend, hope thats ok :)

  • Did you put any kind of substrate at the bottom of the pond? Gravel, sand, etc...

  • @The0Burger0King Hello, I used a liner protection layer under the main pond liner. As for on top of the liner, ie, so that you can see it, I havent done this yet, but I'm looking at washed tumbled blue stones, or something lavender. .. but I'm open for suggestions... :)

  • Could you do an update?

  • @angrypooch , hello, there is an update in my videos, :)

  • @sixstringbiker I mean this year

  • @angrypooch Hello, I will try and put something together, at present though I am building a car, and then have another project stacked up waiting. but to be fair its much the same as the last viseo but now have about 40 fish.

  • wow this pond looks great. Is there a way to hide the black tarp-looking thing??

  • @gentrysnavat :) hey thanks, what a great comment. The black tarp-looking thing is in fact the pond liner, and these pictures where aken during the pond's first fill to test the wall strength. the water level is now just, and I only mean just ( ;) ) above that level, which means its about 1 inch below the overflow outlet. :)

  • @sixstringbiker Hey, good first pond, its a start. One thing since you only used liner in the time lapse DO NOT put gravel in the bottom of it. Big rocks and boulders are fine. The gravel will collect all the crap that collects in the water. Also you may want to check into a bucket filter, its not used too much anymore but you left nowhere for a skimmer box or falls box to be placed. So you have no other choice on filtering the water.

  • bummer about the liner...could have went eco-friendly and made a more natural pond, with some patience.

  • @lasbarricadasnow Thanks for the comment, I guess you have a point, but then where do you stop, the cement used in brick work is very poluting during manufacture, The brick and the slabs are mass produced, and thewn there is the energy used in running the pump and filtration, not to mention the ozone gived off by all ultraviolet lamps, but then is it right to keep fish at all, would it be better to let them be free??? for me I like this in my garden, but I acknowledge your point :)

  • im thinking of building one have to say thats pretty impressive hope my ones as good as yours 5 stars!

  • @cass2112 :) thanks for your great comment, just take your time and plan your pond and I'm sure it will look great :)

  • Thats one amazing but serious pond project... But I love it! Nice job! XD

  • @SuperPurpleStrawbery :) thanks you very much, such a nice comment :)

  • how do you get the water from muddy to clean

  • @MyGardenboy Hello, I use a gravity filter and a uv clarifier :)

  • so with the filter you can leave it under water right(the hose) and do you need water conditioner or just use tap water?

  • @theorigamimagic Hello, yep...100% correct, the pump and hose stay in the water, except when the pump needs a clean, in which case just turn it off take it out of the water, clean it and then put it pack in. one important note to remember is that a water pump should never be turned on unless it is in water, as its the water that cools the shaft surfaces etc. As for the water, plain old tap water is perfect, before adding fish, leave for a couple of days to desolve away the chlorine. :)

  • Hey Nice Pond! How Long Did It Take To Build?

  • @5clubpenguinfan5 Thanks for you comment :) the pond took me 5 days to build from start to finish. I filled it on the 6th day....feet up on the 7th :)

  • @sixstringbiker Did you do this buy yourself or did you hire someone? How much was the cost for the materials?

  • @archi912 Hello, I did this all myself, it took me five days start to finish, thenhalf a day to fill the pond, with is now fully filled unlike the pictures at the end of the video. The total cost, including everything, ie, sand, cement, common bricks, stone bricks, slab tops, underliner, liner, pump, filtration and hoses added up to around £700. :) oh and that included around £100 for fish

  • I want to put a pond in my garden but have no idea and need to do my research

  • @sandydogy well good luck with your research, there are many good video's here on youtube to help guide you through the whole process. good luck with your build :)

  • Seems pretty simple. Could I put cement or bricks at the bottom instead of that black plastic?

  • @TheBoaConstrictor95 You can finish the inside how ever you want really, the plastic liner is the water proof ponf liner, and without it the water would not remain there, however, you could render the inside, and treat with a water proofing layer, that is fish safe.

  • @sixstringbiker Well I was thinking that if I put cement that should be just fine. I might get a landscaper to make me one, though, because I wanna have a waterfall & everything like that.

  • My husband and I will soon have our first house and I dream of having a pond! I want to build it, i just can't wait!! Thank you sooooo much for this video!!

  • @biohanydesi Thank you very much for you great comment, good luck with your pond build :)

  • i thought this was a how to video, not a look what i did video.

  • @RoyalHamsters I guess its a bit of both really :)

  • @ThaGama2 Thanks for your comment :)

  • i wish i could have a pond but we have raccoons and stray cats and ive seen a fox in my front yard so i cant have one :/

  • @iatethefudge Thanks for your comment, why not build a fence and have a pond garden inside :)

  • @sixstringbiker they still get in,we had raccoons get in our chicken pen and eat our chickens so i dont wanna put money into fishes outside just yet ,im just gonna keep them in my fish tank plus my parents dont want a pond :/

  • 2:13 love the bike:) pond looks good too

  • @yellow7233 :) thanks, sold that bike and now have ZZR1100 :)

  • Can I ask who did the music? or the name of the song? or preferrably both? I use this video to relax sometimes because of the music.

  • @hagehidoku Hello, to be honest I'm not sure, I found the music on the audio swap funtion and selected it. sorry I cant be more helpful, but please keep listening if it helps you relax :)

  • hi there, really impressed! a stupid question for you as i know nothing about ponds, in the severe weather what do you do with the fish :( does it have some sort of heating or do u have to remove the fish elsewhere? thanks again

  • @princesharky Thanks for your comment :) right when things get cold the fish pretty much stop eating and basical go to the bottom of the pond. even when the ice has completely covered the pond the fish will be ok so dont worry about them. this winter my pond froze over the thickness was abnout 2 inches, but now things are a good bit warmer and they are all swimming about, I guess nature figures these things out for us. hope this has answered your question :)

  • @sixstringbiker those sons of bitches can live in the ice?

  • @phantomofthedrivein..... well actually they are fish :) but......yes they all seem well enough and the ice was only at most a couple of inches thick, so the water below the ice would be definately above freezing, as it didnt freeze. however it would possibly be a different story with ashallower pond or different climate. :)

  • Well smart, I have just decided last night ire to have on I will be following alot of your steps, thanks alot

  • @Daniielle9 Hello Daniielle, thanks for you comment, I really hope that you do go ahead a get one, and if you have any questions or simply wont to send some pictures of your progess that would be cool. :)

  • good :) very GOOD

  • @ararat430 :) thanks very much :)

  • 2 @TheRubelmiah...r u n idiot or wat..dosnt take a bloody rokt scientist 2 c wat tools r usd in this garden u fool....work on getn sm brains 1st ..nitwit

  • @tonibarnett01 :) here here, nice for some support

  • @tonibarnett01 doesn't take a ROCKET scientist to learn how to spell properly either.

  • Very nice! What is the estimated capacity of the pond & what type of filtration do you use?

  • @ElijahTurtle Hello, the capacity is around 8000 ltrs, the UV is 30 watt and the filtraction is 33000 ltrs per hour with extra triple rated foam for the gravity system. Also has a 'Y' variable water splitter from the pump that allows me to set the water flow to the filter and the waterfall seperately. The pump is rated at 18000 ltrs per hour. thankd for your comment :)

  • REALLY NICE LOVELY POND MATE , LET US KNOW WHEN YOU MOVE AND MAKE A NEW ONE IM GOING TO BUILD 1 IN ABOUT 2 YEARS TIME BUT IM GONNA MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS PERFECT SO IM GONNA KEEP LOOKING AT DIFFERENT ONES AND DO LOTS OF RESEARCH BEFORE I START

  • Excellent Pond, I recomend you use a UV filter for not green water.

  • I think you did a great job for the amount of space you were working with. If i were you though i would of tried to make a two different levels and thrown some bigger rocks around the edges to cover up that liner. But either way its very elegant and it seems like you put enough time into the surrounding stone work to make up for the minor flaws. A++ brotha

  • @eastcoastzj thanks for the comment :) and I have to say that I agree in all parts. This pond does fit the garden I have, however, fingers crossed, I will be moving soon and I will have much more room to play with, and I think multo levels and more rocks is the way to go :)

  • @sixstringbiker You will have to keep us posted. I installed a 150 gallon preform in my moms garden 2 years ago for mothers day and then last year i intalled a 30 gallon waterfall. Its was alright for my first lone project but i am going to rip all of that out soon. I have a bunch of things planned so its going to be legit this time.

  • WER THE HELLS THE INFO ABOUT THE TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT WE NEED TO USE SO FLIPING STUPID DO YOU WANT PPL TO GUESS OR SUMTHING !! FOOL.

  • @TheRubelmiah :) thanks for you comment, I think most people who are watching 'bricks' being laid would know the tools needed, as you don't seem to know then I guess that makes you the biggest tool....or sumthing fool

  • @sixstringbiker don't go insulting people when you can't spell "something" properly.

  • so sweet

    good work

  • @jkennedy1007 :) thank you very much for your comment :)

  • this looks like its big enough to be a pool :) very nice.

  • @ScienceFreak320 :) thanks for your comment, its a good size I think without being too big :)

  • 12 dislikes? Whats the point of disliking this theres nothing bad about it!

  • @goodeid608 :) I know what you mean about the dislikes, I think its more about people disliking nice things. some people (and you know who you are) JUST haven't got a good thing to say about anything, its simply a matter of them JUST not being nice people. How can you feel good about things when you dont feel good about who you are, what you're about or the things you have done. Thanks for your comment :) :) :)

  • what if it rains while your still buildiing your pond?

  • @lespaulguitarist92 :) hello, I was lucky I guess, it was a glorious week full of sun, so it was a quick 5-day build. if it had rained it would have been slighty longer job and a good deal messier, but otherweise I dont think it would have been a problem as any water on the outside of the liner would have drained away to the bottom. I guess I would have got very wet though :)

  • what do you fill in between the bricks?

  • @RennTaPenn , nothing inbetween the courses of bricks, you could fill if you choose to though. :)

  • wouldn't be better with concreet that plastic bags? but nice pond..very nice

  • @betzivu2000 I guess it would, but it is a proper pond liner :)

  • @sixstringbiker :) nothing inbetween the bricks, its a double wall, although I guess you could fill it with concrete if you so wanted to :)

  • Thanks for the video, It's a really nice pond. I can't wait to make one in my garden.

  • @RamHS :) thanks you for you lovely comment. I hope that when you do one for yourself that you post it here to share with everyone. happy new year to you :)

  • very nice job, very clean job to, one question though, why didnt you fill the pond all the way to the top?

  • @jordan628trisha Its full now, this was taken during its first fill :)

  • Thank you Paul, a very merry xmas to you and your family.

  • @LorraineHatrix @ :) right back at ya!!!

  • Thank you your pond is lovely. I can do this now. XXXX

  • @LorraineHatrix :) hello, thanks for your lovely comment, and I hope that when you get started you will let me know how your getting on with your pond project and hopefully even upload so pictures...merry christmas to you.

    warm regards Paul

  • You did good you would have. To give me some ideas cause I want to do a big nice one for my home when I get it

  • @zelda1bmw glad you liked my little video and I hope that one day you will have one too :) thanks for your comment

  • Thanks for responding ...

Glad you changed the filter and installed a way to eliminate green water, must have been really very beautiful, is a great lake!

    Congratulations once more!

    Brazilian hugs atcha!

  • @brucewayne00000 :) thank you :)

  • Nice work, congratulations!

I recommend a potent UV filter to stop the green water ... The carp will appear much more oxygen and will improve ...

    Brazilian hugs to you!

  • @brucewayne00000 Hi :) actually I have already done this for the exact reasons you said, I now have a 30watt UV and a much bigger filter and pump...and it did the job perfectly :) thanks for you comment

  • what happends in the winter

  • Nice job, man.

  • @pondguru :) thanks for you comment :)

  • Dang, thats so cool! You did a real good job! Congrats! :]

  • @TreskyTheKid :) well thanks you very much for a terrific comment :)

  • It'd suck if that lining ripped somehow. =x That thing's big enough to swim in with your fishies. >.>''

  • @DuktTapez :) haha...it certainly would suck!!!! lol during the summer I've been known to sit on the edge with me feet in the water, fish seem to love the taste of cheesy feet....haha...thanks for your comment

  • beautiful song,i wish i could get a list of all the audioswap songs and try to find it..theres probably hundreds in there though so wont help =(

  • @dapenguin2 :) hello

below is the information you're looking for :)

    Artist: Musicshake

    Song: Calm Night

    Time: 02:50

    Genre: Instrumental

  • beautiful nicely done. i'm gonna build 1 and post it too..

  • @gusto1978 Thanks very much for you great comment, I hope your build goes well and I look forward to seeing the end result :)

  • Wouldn't it lok better with the water level up to the edge of the liner , and help protect the liner from the sun uv rays ???

  • @woodenz hello, you are 100% correct and the pond is full..these pictures where taken during the first fill and stree loading, but know it is full :)

  • What song is this. It's beautiful!

  • @TheAsianFilm hello, I really dont know what the music is called, I found it here on youtube within youtube's audio swap... sorry I cant help, but I do agree its really nice :)

  • @sixstringbiker do you remember which you got it from? (:
