I remember when all I had was 2 turntables a piece of shit radio shack mixer and 2 tape decks. I would do a one run mix with the tables then play back the 1st gen/tape into the 2nd tape deck then mix another simo/set live over that. Then take it down to the public radio station when it was the only one playing any hip hop. My Ist mix tape KSKA Alaska 1983 Marvell Johnson was the legendary host.
