  • i hear the bottle cleaner in the backround!!

  • where is that in thailand

  • @mrp1119 I'm not exactly sure. I was on a tour. I probably should have paid more attention.

  • What do they feed the newly hatched fry?

  • @Asianleful In the first few days after they are free swimming I try to make sure there's a variety of small foods like vinegar eels and microworms. I also add some plants which will have microorganisms that the fry can eat. After 3 or 4 days I start adding newly hatched baby brine shrimp.

  • How I wish I could be there and choose the best betta of all..

  • wow they using soup spoons

  • Did you film this?

  • @jayjay2033 Yes I took this video. It was during a visit to Thailand in 2008.

  • could you please tell me if you need a liesence to sell betta fish

  • @soulstreak A license isn't required for hobbyists in Melbourne but I can't say what the situation is elsewhere. Check with your local Agriculture/Fisheries department.

  • @Bettarazzi thanks alot for your help

  • im always so curious as to how this method works as far as changing water, feeding and finally taking the fish out for sale. can you explain? thanks appreciate it.

  • @hmglis I wonder the same thing! There're so countless many bottles and I dont think they'd spend time changing water. One thing I know for sure is that, a betta is the toughest freshwater fish ever!

  • @TAC412 Actually they spend quite a lot of time changing water every day. Unfortunately they had finished changing water for the day when I got there and I didn't manage to get a video showing them changing water. But they showed me the device they use which is a kind of frame which holds about 10 bottles at a time and stops the fish from falling out. They then use a modified watering can with 10 spouts so they can quickly refill the 10 bottles.

  • how would you like to live in a bottle!

  • @wildnotmild1 Comparing human and fish living preferences isn't entirely useful. Can a human live in water? We have no way of knowing if a fish is happy or sad. They don't smile or talk to you. We can however, observe signs of physical health. If the fish has bright eyes, good colour, doesn't succumb to disease, eats well and is willing to spawn then we can conclude that the living conditions are adequate.

  • im a filipino and i really love the thai way of breeding bettas although i havent tried it yet... but i think thai breeding is very easy when you learn how to do it compare to other techniques

  • @onse212 Major major aprub..

  • they have chacra tambesay

  • they stading on the bottles? fake

  • @Carmador why it fake just because they standing on bottles ?.

If you lined bottles up the way they done it take a humans weight quite easily.

  • @Carmador and @iliruzanna94 Sorry I had to remove your comments. I prefer people weren't rude to each other on my channel. Please play nice.

It's not fake. There's a wooden frame around each section supporting the bottles and preventing them from falling. As long as the weight is coming directly from above, the bottles will support the weight. If someone slips and falls however, the bottles could break.

  • @Bettarazzi I think your opinions are about this are well-thought..

  • amazing lol

  • @robom1337 not really just a really cruel way of keeping such a beautiful fish

  • fooller

  • lOol i was thinking the same way too haha...

  • that would suck it one of those bottles pop while you standing on it

  • the bottle is tanduway...

  • Wow How are you suppose to feed them... It will take the whole day...

  • They're farmers. That's what they do ALL day, every day.

  • the grabb a hand full of pellets and throw em on top of the bottles that way you dont have to got threw 1 by 1! lol jk idk but it seems hard feeding all those fishes

  • lol

  • u need to feed them 1 by 1 my friend do that

Jarring, Cleaning, Feeding and the whole process all over again in 2-3 days...ddamnz, but I would love to work with bettas...

    =D

  • how much do u sell one???

  • Microworms are just for the first 2 or 3 days. If you can't find brineshrimp eggs it's very difficult to raise any kind of fry. You should be able to order it online. Where are you located? The other alternative would be to try live foods like daphnia and mosquito larvae but they might be too big for baby fish.

  • can i ask u something?

wat do they eat bsides this bbs and mw?

cuz it is kind a hard 2 find these foods in my place

  • dang thats funny how he jar them

  • pano nyo penarame yan dame..can u gave me some tips on breeding them and what do the baby betta eat???

  • to kumakain cla ng baby brine shrimp at mircroworm ^_^.. kung interested ka sa pag-paparami ng betta mo.. message mo lang ako.. ^_^

  • Sorry I don't speak Tagalog. I had some Filipino friends with me who you can hear in the background. But I don't speak it myself.

  • I don't speak Tagalog. You can get some basic betta breeding information on my website. The link is on my profile. Also recommend that you join the Asian Betta Alliance which is a Phillipine based club and forum with many knowledgeable members. Two of them were chatting in the background of this clip.

  • i want to visit there..

  • Definitely recommend it. It's quite an eye-opener. But I would recommend going to several farms and try to vary between the big commercial farms and the smaller farms that specialise in raising high quality halfmoons. There's quite a bit of difference in the way they raise the fish.
