  • No one Knows That Walter Paisley is Born...

  • Before Banksy's Exit Through The Gift Shop there was...A Bucket Of Blood

  • I don't know why this in the Roger troutman music mix, but I like it.

  • I read that line, just as he was saying it!

  • "a creature is a creature or an artist"

  • I just watched this on DVD. Great movie and a good message to : Don't make fun of people or something mite happen!

  • Several years ago, after seeing this movie, I joined youtube and named myself after a line in the quote-- rkHOBO. "Life is an obscure hobo, bumming a ride on the omnibus of art."

  • rubber bells and cotton gongs! mary tyler moore played a beatnik in a forgetable movie about a bird transmitted germ which made people constantly happy.

thus allieviating the need for such miracles as thorzine and valium and alcohol and weed

  • Isn't this the flick where the crappy waiter at the beatnik club wants to pretend he's an artist, so he kills people and covers them in plaster?

  • Filmed at the World Famous Gas House in Venice California.

RIP Big Daddy Nord. RIP Lawrence Lipton

  • hahah so ive been looking for the words to this for forever and i decided to just watch the video and type them myself so here they are :)

I will talk to you of art

For there is nothing else to talk about

    For there is nothing else.

Life is an obscure hobo bumming a ride on the omnibus of art

Burn gas buggies and whip your sour cream of circumstance

    And hope.

And go ahead and sleep your bloody heads off

    Creation is.

    All else is not.

  • What is not creation is Graham Crackers Let it all crumble to feed the creator The artist is. All others are not. A canvas is a canvas Or a painting A rock is a rock, or a statue A sound is a sound, or is music A creature is a creature, or an artist Where are John, Joe, Jake, Jim, Jerk? Dead, dead, dead. They were not born Before they were born They were not born
  • Where are Leonardo, Rembrandt, Ludwig? Alive, alive, alive They were born Bring on the multitude, the multitude of fishes Feed them to the fishes for liberum to nourish the artist Stretch their skins upon an easel To give him canvas Crush their bones into a paste And he might mold them Let them die By their miserable deaths become the clay within his hands He might form an ashtray or an arc
  • For all that is comes through the eye of the artist

The rest are blind fish swimming in the cave of aloneness

Swim on, you maudlin, muddling, maddened fools

And breathe the one bright and sunny night

Some artists will bait a hook and let you bite upon it

    Bite hard, and die.

In his stomach you are very close to immortality

ha sorry it wouldnt fit in just one comment :)

  • An artist in England some years back was arrested for taking molds from corpses in a morgue (I dont think his name was Walter), life imitates Art!

  • awesome, I am glad you just have the intro; it is the best cliche!

  • God I LOVE this movie.

  • And you and I and the nude descending the staircase and all such things with souls know that WALTER PAISLEY IS BORN!!!

  • Hahaha, love this character, what a knob.

  • @GhostMint That's my dad!!!

  • That beatnik was my dad!

  • Hey, I named myself on youtube after his quote about Life being an obscure hobo....LMFAO! Thank you for posting this! I hate scary movies but this oldie was just campy and fun, even though the title sounds scary.
