so what do you suppose it is then? Sorry, should i have called it a mock English accent? I'm not American btw i'm English and i think that's a BBC 4 broadcaster accent

New Zealand accents are different.

I'm American and I know myself that any Brit would be able to tell a massive difference between Australian/British/New Zealand accents. Fail.

I'm from New Zealand and yes the accents are normally different but i have to agree with 'kirstyasher' - they definately are putting on a massive accent (especially in albi).

The normal accent is pretty much when they're talking (except they're exaggerating it a bit to make themselves sound awkward).

err no, love, you're the fail i meant their mock English accents that they're putting on for the song. Of course i know what a New Zealand accent is, i've got friends over there, it's similar to the South African accent, of which a quarter of my family is made up of. I can tell the difference between a South African/New Zealand/ Australian/and for the record ENGLISH accent not BRITISH, seeing as a British accent doesn't exist because Britain is made up of FOUR COUNTRIES, perfectly well thanks.

I am not stupid, neither guessing from the assured way that you're talking to me, are you. The whole point of this was that you completely misinterpreted what i said. It's not my fault you misinterpreted what i said, but i wasn't being vague. You weren't vague in saying British instead of English, you were just wrong. I don't suppose this bush is being beaten around now, is it? Just to be clear we are finally in this bush, right? Or is there another bush being beaten around some other vagueness?

Especially considering that most people cant tell the difference between an English and New Zealand accent.

Do you mean most American people..? Because they are completely different accents, especially as there's about 25 different English accents. And everyone i've ever met is quite able to tell the difference.

ANYWAY i really can't be bothered to keep this tiresome argument up. So far, one person's agreed with me, none with you, so it seems obvious that i wasn't being vague, but if it'll make you happy, yes i was being vague. Bye x

I never said it was a contest, but it just proves that i wasn't actually being that vague, seeing as someone else knew what i was talking about and agreed with me. This is just going in circles. I've already said that you misinterpreted what i said, and you did. Because i wouldn't be watching this if i didn't know that they're New Zealanders, and i wouldn't be watching this if i didn't know the difference between an English accent and a New Zealand one.

He agreed with you after you explained what you were talking about. Your original comment was very vague. Also, I'm pretty sure it doesn't say anywhere that they're New Zealanders. So how exactly would someone know?

You said you like their English accents. Many people are too dim to tell the difference. I don't get why you're still arguing. <_<
