You know, I see a lot of people saying that the Jonas Brothers are much better than the Beatles. And I wonder why this is...Because we have whiney kids that you can't understand, and a lot of simple chords, and pretty simple/overused lyrics.

i agree in this video, their voices don't sound too great. but if you hear their songs recently their voices really have improved. i think nick just needed to get over his awkward phase where his voice was changing- if you listen to his solo album songs from when he was like 10 or 11, he was actually an amazing singer.

tis true tis true, everything you said is spot on. Their voices have been improved a lot ever since like burning up i guess, but all their roots are still there here in this vid, say. AND OMG Nick on Dear God is amazing, no wonder he got a record deal. Yeah, Nick's voice changing wasn't very good to him but he's getting over it and getting better all the time. I actually like Joe's voice, he sounds great on the new album too!

I'm sorry, I just like music that takes a little more creativity musicality and not simply a band that has one main purpose - to sell records. I guess it just says something about who we are these days, and it's a bit of a troubling thought. I'm not an asshole by any means, I guess I just get sick of seeing guys like this going platinum while a musician like Nick Drake sits on the shelf, he's a clear genius, these guys are simply not.

I didn't say the band itself is in it for money, disney is and behind disney are the producers that ultimately decide what their records sound like, and because of that, the records sell..I think their music is easy to listen to, simple to understand I guess, it just takes a different person to appreciate art that is counter to simple popular music, something a bit more thought through and more original, something never done before. That kind of music takes a great mind to create.
