  • Охрененная видюха, очень порадовала, в этот рабочий зимний день!!!!

  • Gotta love it when pike whack your bait!

  • Nice

  • Is that a charteuse black and white Dahlberg diver you're using ? It's my favorite pikefly... allways catch pike on it.....Best pikefly ever

  • We Northern fish up in the Yukon and NWT.Right after the ice melts(June 18)season opens at the 15th.Some of the lakes we go no one ever fished on and we'll catch "Gators"45+inch in less then 2 feet water at shore/weeds.The water never gets warmer then 48-50 so the smaller"Roughnecks"are awesome for shore lunch.Don't u just love it when u pull in a 24 inch pike and right by the Boat a 40+inch grabs it and u get both in.

  • What in the hell is with the video response to this Simms video? Makes no sense.

  • I've never seen a northern attack a bait like that one at the 1:58 mark

  • triple like !

  • What fly?

  • Wow ! Very nice Video !

  • Good vid. When I have seen it first, I had almost purchased a flyrod.

  • Ez lenne olyan bonyolult a körforgóhoz képest?

  • there known as the Alaska Aligators

  • I gotta agree with MLGrunescape, the majority of the fish caught on this video are kind of small. The strikes are awesome though, that's for sure! The one at 2:04 is the best!

  • bro stop being a pussy and putting those like 2 inches from the camera to make em look bigger then they really are god damn almost all of those were under 30 inches

  • thats what im talkin about!!!! toothy critters all day

  • what flies were you using

  • what song is this?

  • Uhh why are there northern pike in alaska...

  • @ButeoLineatus "Northern" . . . Alaska . . . north and alaska is pretty isolated so they can thrive relatively well undisturbed compared to other places

  • @someduderob I don't know what you mean by undisturbed. I'm from California and we do not want those pikes in any of our fisheries. They decimate bass/salmon/trout/frog populations; they're almost like a weed in that they are extremely difficult to get rid of.

I imagine that they do okay in Alaska. The region with the best salmon production in the world; pikes can only eat so many fish ya know.

  • 2:05 awesome

  • What type of leader was used ?

  • A aftm 8-9 is perfect to pike here in Sweden. Use BIG flies! about 20-30 cm long.

  • great stuff! what aftm rod do you recommend, and what flies do you use?

  • Those are some tiny pike, but I bet it was fun as hell. :D

  • I have so much fun fly fishing. We don't have pike here in New Brunswick but we do have Chain pickerel, in the same family but don't get much over the 30 inch mark.

I just can't get enough of it and never tire of watching the wake before the explosions.

I watched your video a few times and loved it. I even added it to one of my fly fishing blogs.

  • What weight rod and reel were you using? That looks awesome.

  • did you use a wire leader for those.

  • @darkhousefisher thanks a lot

  • @jk22222sd

    "Helplessness" by The Flying Rickshaw

  • thats awesome! they got some speed

  • 2:06 is awesome! just watching the wake off that thing!

  • What color would you recomment for cloudy day or sunny? Lake or river?

  • reminds me of a warren miller film

  • haha niceeee

  • what size rod, line, and leader would you use for this I usually fish for trout and have set ups for 5 and 6 but am having trouble deciding on what to use for pike or larger bass. any advice also any advice on a fly for the north mid west like minnesota great video

  • This would be so fun

  • This is amazing footage. I must do this.

  • great video

  • Awesome strike footage!

  • whats your favorite pike fly

  • Who is singing this song?

    Dla pawkitoja

  • Fucking amazing clip ! Is possible to watch full movie ?

  • Fly fishing for pike is amazing, one of my absolute favourite fishing technique. We're fly fishing for northern pike here in Swedish Lapland every spring (middle of May to the end if June) and autumn. The biggest Ive go so far is 111 cm long. :-) Were using big flies thats 10-15 cm long.

  • what flies do u use

  • where is this in Alaska. I grew up in Ketchikan and never saw a Pike until I was in the lower 48...

  • what song is this???

this is probably the best fly fishing video ive saw by far what flies do you use???

  • I live in alaska and we have a huge northern pike problem. they are an illegally introduced species to our lakes. please dont catch and release. If you catch then slit their throats. if you don't want to keep them there are homeless shelters here that would love them donated. these fish are taking over our lakes in alaska. kill em all (in alaska). Just this guys opinion.

  • dude slit a fish's throat? why kill them just take them home, their freshwater barracuda but get bigger

  • He's trying to allege that catching the fish is killing it, so you might as well slit its throat . . .

  • they are def fun to fight but dont toss em back and slit thier throuts, if ur gonna kill em eat em!!!

  • What song is this? Totally fits the fishing...

  • wow wicked sick vid. love fly fishing whats the weight on your rod and are you using streamrs or poppers?

  • WOW...EXPLOSIVE strikes...Pike are great fish for a fly rod.

  • 2:08

  • very nice video jaws in the begining.
