Perhaps this is where the

'G P" fabrication of the name came from. Look at military nomenclature. The military has never in history used "General Purpose" to describe a vehicle. To bad so many dolts actually think this GP drivel is true. The Name jeep coming from general purpose is about as true as someone buying a jeep in a crate... Just more fiction

Yup here to stay...untill 1980

then comes in the HUMVEE. Lucky for jeep, they may come back to our troops around 2014...just alittle bigger and better.
