im 13 years old and i jus LOVE Y&T!! i have all there albums on my ipod-such as black tiger, mean streek,in rock we trust, open fire, ect ... in rock we trust is my favorite one!! :D
OMFG!!! Just found y&t on youtube tonite, and I can still hear dad pounding on my bedroom wall yelling turn that @#$% down!!! I loved this song. Might have been 13 or 14 when i discovered these guys, 40 now :)
Is it me or has the whole country turned into a bunch of pussies? Back in the 80's we just kicked ass...period. Music like this just represents that. (rant over)
This song was written by Van Stephenson and originally appears on his 1984 album Righteous Anger. Righteous Anger also featured two other songs that garnered much airplay on radio as well as eMpTyVee: "Modern Day Delilah" and "What The Big Girls Do". Two members of Van's band would go on to form GIANT in the late 80's - Guitarist Dann Huff and Keyboardist Alan Pasqua. Huff is a guitar hero in his own right and currently works as a producer in Nashville.
Fucking record company wank! This is so far removed from the Y&T I love it's unture! Seeing them in 2 weeks....for the real deal ! David Geffen can choke on it!!!!
@tommydazzler they weren't on Geffen at this point...they were still on A&M - this was their last record for the label. they were trying to capitalize on SUMMERTIME GIRLS which was a minor hit for them.
i think this song is cool though, catchy...and the video is fun. Should've been a hit.
Horrible, horrible video! But what were they gonna do back then? These guys deserved to be bigger than Motley Crue back then,
The BEST song on this album is "Face Like An Angel"!!! Meniketti's voice is incredible and the solo is so melodic. A must hear from an album a lot of Y&T fans dismiss!
You can tell they were trying to go for a top 5 hit! They had some radio airplay hits and had some hit singles but didn't break through like they should have. The 1990s didn't help Y&T either!
The most underrated heavy band of the past three decades had been busting their asses for over ten years at this point with no commercial success to show for it, so they followed the money-Down for the Count is the result...Frankly, I don't blame them....
Granted, that album is not on my favorite Y & T menu..
this is scary if u read this this far u will die in 10 days if u dont send to any 15 videos in 2 hours good luck hope u dont die !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Grew up in the 80's and that era of rock... concerts with chords and screaming guitar solos that brought the roof down complete with the women, ruled!
Take it easy Mary. Just because something is good when you are a teen doesn't mean its so good when you are an adult. Typical pop-shlock from the 80s. Enjoy all you want.

@mangler52 Right on Mang! Would LOVE to see Dave Meniketti & Dave Huff colaborate. Two of the rare & coveted lead shredder/lead singer combos.

The singer was asked to teach George Lucas to play guitar.
I believe George helped with one of their video's,'Don't Stop Running'

WOW! a real classic from the cd 'Down for the Count'
Got to see them in California in 1992,in a club environment.
Saw them with Motley Crue 1985 and saw Ace Frehley open for them in Detroit.
