  • What was that they said at the end about Finney?

  • We need more men of God like Ravenhill. Truly a anointed prohet.

  • what is he saying at the end of the video "with the exception of the Charles Finney... what????......did anyone catch what he said at the end?

  • ray comfort is a good preacher out of cali.

  • @jwdimick74

I think you meant to say false teacher in that statment

  • (1Jn 4:19) We love Him because He first loved us.

  • does anyone know of any modern preachers like Ravenhill? possibly in california?

  • @noahdekkers Paul Washer (not in California though).

  • @Keruaran

    thanks =)

  • @noahdekkers there are some, they're not just known / famous. they're pastoring small congregations.

  • why did Todd Friel say that about Charles Finney? Was Finney a heretic? I really don't know anything about Charles Finney

  • Wow..Leonard Ravenhill is so right! Does anybody know which sermon this is taken from so i can download it? thanks

  • /watch?v=Gzdv2dsPPKw

  • If you liked this see the black and white sermon jam, its great.

  • Wow, "A million ways to hell, but only 1 way to heaven". Amen!!

  • A true prophet!

  • I hope and pray for this reason for persecution to the American church, and I mean true persecution, not "wah wah wah I can't have my Bible out in school anymore" persecution but real true get forced underground, church buildings get burnt to the ground type of persecution. It's coming and it's coming soon.

  • I know it's true, I have prayed for this.

The Lord called me to leave my nursing supervisor career to write a book about the approaching end times and to warn the Laodicean Church, the Church of the Pathetic Apathetic.

We desparately need a baptism by fire.

And He surely will give us all that we need.

The church in Africa, China, Iran and India are growing with true miracles, not Benny Hinn magic shows, throwing people to the floor

True persecution, camps with torture & martyrdom coming

  • them healthy, wealthy, prosperous, and maybe moral, oh, and to do their bidding.

  • Wow, the Apostle Paul prophesied that wicked american health wealth and prosperity gospel that says God owes us everything. The American church needs persecution, and it will come and we'll see then that God owes us nothing and we're not better than anyone else and will be able to sympathize with those of "our brothers suffering all around the world." A that time the American church will be cured of their blasphemy and idolatry of an aloof god created in their image who's there to simply keep

  • Preach on Watchman on The Wall.

    Sound the trumpet.

    Call a holy convocation.

Fall on your faces & weep with sorrow, pressed down, overflowing sorrow

Fast & pray & fast some more

Weep until you have no more tears left.

We have lost our First Love.

We have walked in the plesures of this world

We have know the ways of porn abortion, sodomy, pedophilia, drunkenness, drug addiction, greed, malice, liars, thieves, adultery, gossips, whores, haters of God murderers, gluttons, vain & arrogant

  • tobeofgoomind, How long you been preaching ? Have any clips ?

  • My fave preacher ever! :)

  • same ere

  • I thank God for all the trials and tribultions He has tested me with, for how else would He have known the day when I said God I can not do all that needed to be done without your help.

    peace wisdom love faith

    a servant

  • Praise God

  • Godly!!

  • we've almost no preachers.

  • I love Leonard Ravenhill. How few true Christians there are today, there were in his time, and there were since the LORD died.

    'Narrow is the way....'

  • There's the good 'ol Jesse I know. I would encourage you write books disproving everything Calvin and Augustine wrote sentence by sentence. Would you do that for us poor, foolish, blind, brainwashed Calvinists? Do that and I think you would leave your mark on history thoroughly. I dare you too. And then send a copy to me, I'll buy it.

  • Lord help us not be deceived! Have mercy Lord!!!

This is so convicting... We need more preachers like Leonard today!

  • Truth these days doesn't matter anymore, the great majority of modern preachers doesn't preach the Word anymore, only nice heretic words that attract people.

Thank God for having this great man.

  • man does not justify anyone. it is God who gives righteousness and it is according to nothing but the faith that God gives and the grace which God pours out.

works theology should always be condemned because the Bible condemns it, that we are saved by grace should be sought after desperately for if it is not by grace that we are saved then i have great fear for my eternal destination, for there is in me great wickedness which i have no way of getting clean of.

  • an important note: Revival is not "had" by men. No dead man has ever revived another dead man. No man apart from God's intervention has ever revived a dead man.

The problem with finney is that he thought he could command God with a formula. does the servant command the master?

But still yet God used finney just as he as used men to accomplish his plans for all of HIS story. And God uses all men, the proverbs even say that the wicked are for the day of destruction.

  • None of the men here quoted were perfect, some were more right than others but that is beside the point.

Our duty is to scripture alone and we must put ourselves into submission. for by hearing the scripture do we get faith. i have little doubt that finney was a man of God. but he refused to go to study the scriptures and the apostle Paul warned us of this. We must teach the whole counsel of God. There are too many scriptures that you must lay aside to agree w/ finney more than calvin.

  • all these clips are from his sermon "the cost of discipleship"

  • "How can Tod Friel, who has never had a Revival..."

Noah didn't have a revival, either.

  • PLEASE, can somebody find me the link for that sermon clip?

  • I believe it is a clip from many sermons, If I find it out I will let you know.

  • all these clips are from his sermon "the cost of discipleship"

  • Do you know actually where the clip is from, with all the music in the background?

  • wotm put it together, its just a put together clip from wotm using music and that sermon :cost of discipleship starting with part 7

  • @woodellkw

the clips are from sermons of Job and The Cost of Discipleship

  • Brother Ravenhill absolutely was dangerous! God was glorified through him and we are blessed to have had him with us. Is the full message of what brother Ravenhill available or is it a hodge-podge of messages? Absoultely powerful!

  • But anyhow, Ravenhill was really "dangerous about truth" ;-)

  • Amen. He only feared God and was obedient to what God told Him to say.

  • We need more Godly men like these. pray my brother pray. that the Lord will raise up preachers

  • But what he did was always searching the glory of god, like he himself said about his writings and ministry... What's the problem about election? We see it with our own eyes that not everyone turns to Christ... The ones who repent, deny themselfes, follow Jesus and give up their lifes to live for Christ will be save. But "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit"! Keep preaching the gospel, but salvation is God's work, not a decision

  • Jesse, I agree that Finney one of the greatest evangelists & one very important god's man in the history of the church... But he was calvinist, like many other important ones in history (spurgeon, whitefield, w.carrey, john bunyan, j.edwards, george müller, etc) many wrongly understood doctrines can be dangerous, but calvinism itself exalts the sovereignity & glory of god. calvin worked himself to death for the cause of the kingdom & exposed the scriptures carefully, but of course not perfectly.

  • I -- irresistible grace. When God has chosen to save someone, He will.

P -- perseverence of the saints. Those people God chooses cannot lose their salvation; they will continue to believe. If they fall away, it will be only for a time.

If you don't understand these historical BIBLICAL truths, you do not understand the bible. Seek out the scriptures and you will find this to be true.

  • For those of you wondering, here is what TULIP stands for:

T -- total depravity. This doesn't mean people are as bad as they can be. It means that sin is in every part of one's being, including the mind and will, so that a man cannot save himself.

U -- unconditional election. God chooses to save people unconditionally; that is, they are not chosen on the basis of their own merit.

L -- limited atonement. The sacrifice of Christ on the cross was for the purpose of saving the elect.

  • Jesse,

I encourage you to check your heart for out of "the heart the mouth speaks" We need to not judge people to hell that is only Gods job. Romans says to "judge not" For God knows who are His. I am praying for you to not follow men or "theology" but God. His mercy endures forever.

  • Powerful.

"What you need is more obedience..."

  • Amen. It is indeed powerful! Ravenhill was a burdened man until his death for revival.
