How about I use my 2.0l 4cyl Evo that runs 8.7@166? Should the skyline disable 2cyl and 1turbo to make it even? I didn't think so. You run what you brung and this gtr didn't bring enough. The m5 is a 4 door sedan designed for high speed highway driving. The gtr couldn't reach 200mph if it fell off a cliff. I've done 196 personally in this car on motor alone.
@awdmotorsports just sayin the gtr is faster stock for stock and it would most probably win if nos is not used the m5 is a very good car but is slower then a gtr in every aspect

the M5 is not that fast really.... best time so far is 10,5 seconds for the 1/4 mile. The new GTR already went down to 10,3 and will soon break the 10 second barrier this year....

"slapping on two turbos" isn't an easy feat, I can tell you've never owned a turbo car.
I didn't say turboed engines weren't good engines, what defines if it's a good engine is the actual engine itself, turbos or not. I'm saying the GTR engine is basically a bored and stroked (THERE'S your mythic 3.8L Maxima) $30,000 Maxima engine with a couple turbos slapped on, which isn't very impressive. Whereas the 5.0 liter v10 was bred just for the m5 and m6, and is an incredible engine engineering wise. And the reason the next m3's will have turbos is because of fuel regulations.

The Viper had the hardcore package, some say if it leaves the dealership with the parts, it is stock... That's like saying the MR isn't stock because it has shocks from factory, that's a performance upgrade....
And the Nurburgring is about a combination of both power and handling, if you have one or the other then it wouldn't be fast. So your comment about power doesn't make sense when in reference to the ring.
That Viper isn't considered a production vehicle, basically you can't go into a Dodge showroom and walk out with an ACR with those specs.
And yes, the Nurburg requires a balance of handling and power. But when your car weighs almost twice as much and with half the power, yet still raping the competition, you can only be impressed.
It is like the Supersnake or whatever ford calls their bad ass Mustang. It says it is a package, kinda like the srt4 stage 1-3 with the goodies or what ever they call it for the upgraded turbo and what not, or roush stage 1-3, saleen packages.
This Viper is rare, a friend of mine was looking into one but didn't like how it's road manners were and got a xlr-v, only one in Abq, NM.

Check Hennesy Tuning for the GT-R the Stage 2 with 730 HP makes 0-300 km/h in 22.5 seconds so thats realy realy damn fast and no m5 or m6 can reach that fast. and at nordschleife the GT-R beat Porsche & Co.
YEah and no R35 can run 230mph so compare apples to apples.. The M5 is a highway monster.. If the R35 woulda stayed in it thru 5th,6th and 7th i woulda put atleast 20 Lengths on him.. That car was getting mowed down soon as we clicked 5th..

M5 AND M6 cannot beat GTRs in stock forms... Look at 1/4 mile times... To tune a car is a whole different story. Right now there are GTRs that run 1/4 mile in under 10,5 seconds. Search for it on youtube. Also 0-300 km/h is done under 25 seconds... that beats a Ferrari Enzo, let alone a tuned M6 or M5. GTR is too fast for a BMW...

It is a 150 shot.. the car made 430 on motor and 580 on spray.. It is a 4 door full size family sedan.. not a purpose built AWD 2 door sports sedan.. again should i remind you if we ran all the way on top i would have pulled 20 lengths on him.. the m5 doesnt start to move hard til 6th and 7th gear.. so do some research before you just blab what you dont know..

My point exactly, you were saying 480hp out of a 3.8L V6 as if it was impressive, but the fact that it's a twin turbo makes it not very impressive. Take those turbos off and see how much horsepower that thing is making. Less than a mustang GT. Wow. Impressive. I didn't say turboed engines weren't good engines, what defines if it's a good engine is the actual engine itself, turbos or not. I'm saying the GTR engine is basically a bored and stroked (THERE'S your mythic 3.8L Maxima) $30,000 Maxima engine with a couple turbos slapped on, which isn't very impressive. Whereas the 5.0 liter v10 was bred just for the m5 and m6, and is an incredible engine engineering wise. And the reason the next m3's will have turbos is because of fuel regulations.

The Viper had the hardcore package, some say if it leaves the dealership with the parts, it is stock... That's like saying the MR isn't stock because it has shocks from factory, that's a performance upgrade....
And the Nurburgring is about a combination of both power and handling, if you have one or the other then it wouldn't be fast. So your comment about power doesn't make sense when in reference to the ring.

That Viper isn't considered a production vehicle, basically you can't go into a Dodge showroom and walk out with an ACR with those specs.
And yes, the Nurburg requires a balance of handling and power. But when your car weighs almost twice as much and with half the power, yet still raping the competition, you can only be impressed.

It is like the Supersnake or whatever ford calls their bad ass Mustang. It says it is a package, kinda like the srt4 stage 1-3 with the goodies or what ever they call it for the upgraded turbo and what not, or roush stage 1-3, saleen packages.
This Viper is rare, a friend of mine was looking into one but didn't like how it's road manners were and got a xlr-v, only one in Abq, NM.

Check Hennesy Tuning for the GT-R the Stage 2 with 730 HP makes 0-300 km/h in 22.5 seconds so thats realy realy damn fast and no m5 or m6 can reach that fast. and at nordschleife the GT-R beat Porsche & Co.

M5 AND M6 cannot beat GTRs in stock forms... Look at 1/4 mile times... To tune a car is a whole different story. Right now there are GTRs that run 1/4 mile in under 10,5 seconds. Search for it on youtube. Also 0-300 km/h is done under 25 seconds... that beats a Ferrari Enzo, let alone a tuned M6 or M5. GTR is too fast for a BMW...
