Ok guys who appeared in Quake 3 from other id's game are: Doom, Crash was supposed to be also marine like Doom guy just female, then Ranger hes from Quake 1, from Quake 2 are Bitterman, Grunt, Tank Jr, Sarge and Razor (for Sarge and Razor) there was char description on id's homepage witch said that they were involved in Phobos invasion but we didn't see them anywhere in Quake 2.

Not really sure why ID decided to make quake 3 as it was, It was probably that due to the massive multiplayer popularity that quake 2 had once it was released that they decided to make their major focus on that alone. My guess was that they didn't have a proper plot at the time to continue on where quake 2 ended. Thus why it took a while till around 2005 for Q4.

Sarge doesn't seem to be from Q2. I know for a fact that the weapon he has in the intro as well as those enemies aren't from Q2 at all or even look like they fit the theme.

Yeah, it was basically a wild guess, if it's Q2 then it's something of a loose translation. His weapon would be a hyperblaster (as I was saying, loose translation), not sure about the bad guys.

It fits a lot better than Q1 or Doom, though, just saying. No, it doesn't match up with the Doom chaingun. :P

Yes, but it is --very-- thin. I read it and I think it is probably about length of a paragraph. Something about an entity that can hold all these fighters in kind of a death match arena prison, sorta. Either way, its more the kinda game you just play and not a game that you think much about the story. ;)

The Entities" (id Software) brought together the greatest of warriors warriors (made a lot of characters they thought would look cool) simply for the sake of combat at their entertainment (because they wanted to Deathmatch over and over).
