Karen tack used the green in one of her vidios, it looks really colourful, i live in wales (UK) so alot of American websites wont ship thing over here, do you know anywhere i can get that food colouring? Thanks, the cake and cupcakes are amazing by the way! xxxxxxx

  • @liccymjlover Here is what we were using in the kitchen: Assorted NEON! Food Colors and Egg Dye from the mccormick [dot] com site. Unsure though where you can find this brand overseas. It may be best to work with their Consumer Services. Good luck! :) Sincerely, Cate

  • @WFBx

    Lol are you Welsh?

  • @liccymjlover yes lmfao:)

  • @WFBx

Awesome, go Welsh people :)) xxx

  • @aguabendita13 I wouldn't use beet juice to make red frosting. I would buy a small box of Food Coloring which has Red, Green, Yellow, and Blue in it and use the red one. Beet juice would make the icing very sour.

  • @BettyCrockerTV. hi, if your planing to make red frosting, can i use beet juice? answer

  • @aguabendita13 You won’t get a nice, right red from beet juice. It will be more of a grayish-purple color. A couple of years ago, we tried using natural food dyes for dying Easter eggs. We didn’t find any to deliver very rich or deep colors.

  • Are you really shore about the colorings? It looks very artificial.

  • that's colours are sooo pretty

  • That cake was really colourfull ! Like it.

  • @Juicygirl07100 We don’t have a standard measurement for a dollop. The ingredient that you are topping something with is usually soft, like sour cream or whipped cream. Using a spoon, drop and swirl it into a pretty pointed shape right on top of the food. The amount and shape varies. Sincerely, Cate

  • how do you make this green cream on the top of the cake?

  • Now we knw where sandra lee got her inspiration from.. But gr8 job! Its looks a world better than hers...

  • @musiclover8990pink Good question, just by re-watching the video, I think they are Skittles. But I am sure M &M or other candies would work just as well. (IE Lemon Heads) Hope this helps. Happy Baking! Sincerely, Cate

  • @BettyCrockerTV Hi, just one question about how many drops of icing do think would be good? I will be using this cake Idea fo my slumber party!!! great cake!!!!

  • @princesa4554 Use your best discretion. If you use icing instead of candy, you could make the dots different sizes. We love seeing cakes so if you have a chance, please share with us on Facebook or Twitter! Happy Baking! Sincerely, Cate

  • @BettyCrockerTV Thank you for ur reply and I will see if I can!!

  • the circumference is the length of the edge of the circle i think you meant the area but nice cake anyway

  • @Emily9485 No, she does mean circumference, as she is going around the edge of the cake rather than across it. She's just moving in as she goes so it may appear that she is going across the area of the cake.

  • looks yummy!!

  • You do it with the cupcake wrappers on?

  • @WebkinzLovePup Yes, the cupcake liners help to keep the cupcakes from drying out and to keep their shape. Sincerely, Cate
