It was about fucking time that the armed forces got new uniforms!, man these 90's russian "Yeltsin era" uniforms really suck!. Soviet uniforms were awesome, I see these new uniforms as a mix of soviet and imperial styles very nice. But I must agree with the rest, its to thin, and Russia dose not have a climate for "pussy's" upgrade the uniforms, absolutely, but please it needs to be warm, long lasting and of course reliable. Now the military is in style but whats left? UPGRADE EVERYTHING!!!!

The latest Russian military uniforms have landed hundreds of soldiers to the hospitals. The said uniform, designed by a famous designer, was too thin to withstand the extreme cold weather.

It was reported that 60 to 250 servicemen have been hospitalized due to flu and pneumonia. The Russian government said that they did not receive complaints from soldiers about the uniforms in time to do something about the problem.

I hate how the digital cammo got ranks at breast, instead o' shoulders. I was talking to a Lt. at webcam, when he claimed to be an officer, I just loled, judging by his shoulders, then when I asked where were his two stars, he showed it at his breast, so I just said "WTF, I can't believe that Russian gov. introduced such thing". maybe not fashion, but the look should be admirable, apealing and have a national style to it, in russias case it should be made from the best material, shiny and have an imperial look which udashkin has achieved.

unfortunatly my country, poland has not got russias privalage, our uniforms are cheaply made and unclassy. its especially un national our zigzag and more importantly our national identity the 'rogatywka' (rogativka)-a beautiful and historicle dress is replayced with an un ugly beret

It is time for Russia to abandon the Soviet era but also take some of the good sides. Empty phrases like "world revolution" "soviet power" are not good sides- I am looking forward to see a new, social democratic and very modern Russia. The horrible days of the 1980's and 1990's (the fall of a nation) should be buried under 50 feet of concrete.

I prefer the modern uniforms. They look flashy and comfortable. The old ones are butt ugly and they still had the Soviet look- I hope that Russia will look a bit more towards the Imperial Army and integrate some of these ideas in a new Russian style.

Lol well at least these uniforms are better then the current russian uniforms. I mean seriously our current uniforms look like something a soldier would wear to workout rather then a military parade. Actually this parade is going to be larger then in the 80s because in the 80s i didn't see any vehicles the size of the topol m which we will parade this year. Also besides vehicles there will be a large airial demonstration something we havent done since the 50s i think.

I also despise the 2 headed eagle i long for the return of the red star. Thats what made our soldiers look cool. If i was Russian president first thing id do is restore the red star. At least we have it as our air force roundel. Also in 2005 Putin made the Victory banner the flag of the ground forces which has the red star on it. But on the 2008 parade i pray that the vehicles will be painted green and i just hope they have the traditional gvardia symbol. If i see that eagle ill cry forever.

I also dont understand why did he design new girl unforms. Waste of money. Russia has 3 million personnel in its army and only 90 thousand women.
