@lonewolftheblack Considering they`ve nearly greenlit A Live-Action Film based on The Comics , it`s likely Deathstroke will be the main villain ! However , Ron , as much as I love the dude in a totally hetero way ( BTW , I met Ron at a WizardWorld Con in L.A. a couple days before Hellboy came out and shook his hand , true story ) probably doesn`t have the right frame for Slade ! Slade`s supposed to be lean yet muscular ! Ron`s too ripped !

@thebuckrogers22 Well , in The Comics he was A Vietnam Vet even though it wasn`t really mentioned in The Episode . Other differences between Comics Slade and Smallville Slade are : Comics Slade got his eye shot out by his wife after he got back from `Nam , there was NO mention of SV Slade havin` a wife or kids while Comics Slade had a wife ( Adeline ) and THREE kids ( Grant/Ravager I , Rose/Ravager II & Joseph/Jericho ) .

Comics Slade was also much more cool-tempered though not quite as stoic as Animated Slade , Comics Slade didn`t care about destroying all " vigilantes " ( he simply considered them nuisances when they got in his way ) , Comics Slade was A Mercenary while at this point SV Slade appears to be A Legitimate Soldier with A Mean Streak ! BOTH Comics AND SV Slade are Midwesterners !

Deathstroke came first and was a DC created character. Deadpool was created by a Marvel person who just happened to be a huge fan of Deathstroke. There is no relationship between the two.

What I love about Slade(other than Ron Perlman`s brilliant voice acting)is how they toned him down for a younger audience but still snuck in subtle references to the darker aspects of his personality from The Comics:his pervertedness , sexism & abusive nature.

@karutobi Um , in The Comics Slade developed sexist sentiments due to his wife shooting his left eye out .The only females he expressed any interest in were Terra and his daughter Rose only as long as they remained loyal . The way he slapped Terra seemed pretty sexist to me . Also notice the mocking way he addresses the female characters , particularly Terra and Raven . Oh yeah , he`s sexist !

Also in " Apprentices " , one side of his mask fell off as he was fighting Robin.Interestingly although Slade promptly covered the side of his face with his hand & fled , he was shown to have greenish-black hair rather than the white hair of The Comics(though the white hair was part of his "Old One" disguise in "Forces Of Nature").
