My french class is singing this at or botanical gardens! They decorate with lights for christmas. Its originally a french carol, and we are singing it in the french language! Mood: Psyched!
I'm not trying to seem negative but if this is the SCA D: thenn it's gone down the drain. But if not the Un-historically accurate costume's are very distracting.
@tyrannyily This is not part of the SCA. No member OTHER than actual royalty would wear a crown, and these are obviously stage costumes rather than the kind favored by members of the SCA.
I love the outfits and I was singing to it. This song was taking from Steamroller CD. I'll give these people A+ on this song. Thanks for posting this @Theaardvarksong! I might listen to ( Pat a pan ( little women) ). To see that one is Also.
I had to sing this back in elementary school in addition to "Oh Danny Boy" and "Cockles and Mussels." My music teacher's piano arrangement and deep tenor voice was so perfect for them. We weren't terrible either if I'm remembering correctly.
our High School Select Womens chorus did this song :) Sounds really pretty, I'm in the Madrigal group for my High School, I wish we would do this song in our performance. >>

@klbates It's actually an old French carol from the 18th century.

My church's college choir will be singing this Sunday night and Monday night. It's a different version, but I think I may like this version better.

I like this. It reminds me of a bit of the way my class was taught to sing it back in chorus.
