I got the Suhr Riot on the basis of this video, and it is a very transparent pedal extremely responsive to any of my guitars, I tend to use it on my Dual Rec on the Raw Setting on the amp and i have the switch set to the left. HUGE tone. Thanks Mark

PS The BB Preamp is in the rack and works well with the raw setting but doesnt do so good with the clean not nearly as good as the RIOT does

Is there any way to use the Riot with something that will add gain and volume for lead boosts? to get the volume boost I am guessing I would need a boost after the distortion pedal. Maybe a Micro amp? LPB-1? Thanks!

I bought a Suhr Riot recently and i have a doubt. What this key "Off - FL - ON" does? Nice demo video anyway.

@brunofelix20 It's for the FXlink, you can remotely turn the Riot off/on with a switching system.

@mikefont69 For this one I used a Creative VadoHD. Any decent HD camera should get you there. Beware most of them have horrible mics. The Zoom Q3HD has it all.

I've got an old super reverb (silverface modded to a blackface) and a PRS custom 22. I'm trying to use them with this pedal, but no matter what I do, I can't seem to get anywhere NEAR the amount of high quality distortion that you've got going. It just sounds like some muddy overdrive trying wayy to hard to sound like hot pronounced distortion. Any advice? Much appreciated vid btw

@jointhearmy555 What pickups do you have in your PRS? He is probably getting more distortion than you because he is using active pickups. Looks like Seymour Duncan Blackouts.

I am now using an Apogee Duet and Logic Pro.

Sorta following up my last: after having heard it, I think the TFE Severe smokes this pedal. More gain, less fuzz, more responsive. What seemed to me, anyways.

Yeah, it does sound very similar to the 'channel 2 of...', although seemingly minus a little bit of the growl and depth of articulation. Even with the gain up on the Riot, etc, it doesn't seem to 'give' as much as the OD100.

Also, it's interesting how you tend to get the same kind of tone with different pieces of gear.

Damn. It's like Mesa or high gain Marshall angry tube tone in a box. So many pedals that claim to be "amp in a box" stomps fall short, but this is pretty amazing. Even through computer speakers, I can see what all the fuss and hype is about. It's like the Timmy or OCD of distortion. F-ing sick!!

love the way guys hide the opwedals and gear. This pedal is being boosted with a compressor for sure and it doesnt hurt hearing it through a $4000.00 amp ??? Play it through a combo like it was designed to do. Why play a cheap pedal through an expensive 3 channel beast ??? This guy can play great though & he kniws how to sit on a note too !!! Great tone, and that's not even a tube pedal. But one has to know that the clean channel is very high quality on the od100, has a nice warm sound by itself and that sure helps the pedal to sound great.
