ah, the good old days...I was in the air force and they used different terms such as 'latrine' and 'bunk' , inherited from the army...well, have a good time...I have a grandson who is with the army in Afghanistan and was in Iraq earlier...I read of two sailors who drove out of their 'base?' in Kabul and missed the term and ended up killed by the Taliban...so be careful out there!

Sounds like paradise compared to Parris island for the marines. We don't get any snacks, when we wake up they're yelling, when we wait we don't sit, we do push ups while waiting! Pt is all day long everyday for 3 months.. When we can't push up we do sit ups to rest... It's well worth it afterwards

You will take your ASVAB test, have your photo taken, and then you will do medical stuff. Hearing/Vision tests, check your ears and blood pressure, Urine sample for drugs, blood sample, Take an actual physical with a doctor and take a movement test doing crab walks and stuff.
Then you will talk with a person who will go over your test scores and help you decide what job you want, then fingerprinted. After all that you swear in at the end of the day, and it take's ALL day

I dunno what it's called but the feet thing is for custom fitted shoes for maximum physical performance. There are sensors that can tell where you need more support and where you need less.

@DrUmmer7991jul ummm....navy recruits are not trained by USMC drill sergeants lol...their trained by E-5 and up *NAVY* personnel, not marines. I have a buddy that is an RDC...and hes an HT1...Hull Technician 1st class petty officer...not a marine.

And yes they are in the department of the navy but so is the navy, navy and marines are branchs, the navy is a department. The navy does not tell the marines what to do.

I'm just saying, in the video he said they are trained by marine corps drill sergeants, and I'm simply replying that that particular term doesn't exist for the marine corps. For civilians this may seem petty, but for a military man, we spend months learning this, and having it beat into our brains, so it's always weird to see a military man skrew something up like that.

Absolutely untrue; 80% who start don't finish. My numbers were based off a predisposed opinion based on what I've heard from others. This, however, is true (80% of those who start school do not finish). Nuke school is NOT "fucking" cake; not everyone is as "smart" as you are apparently, because numbers do not lie and I'd rather take it from a MMC than you.
And I'm not even a Nuke.

theres the face down float, the coveralls bubble and the platform that you have to walk off and then swim to the edge. in bootcamp EVERYWHERE you go your in a controlled envorment you have nothing to worry about
