great review! i use this app for my ipod touch practically everyday to keep all of my notes with me on the fly and its just wonderful to have for any ipod touch or iphone user. i highly recommend this for anyone who needs a better system to get organized.
I'm not sure about through Evernote, but if you have a Mac or a recording device on your computer all you have to do is save the clip as an m4r instead of an mp3 (mp3's are like songs, for example). Save it as an m4r (audioclipname.m4r) and then once it's saved, click to open it and it should open in your ringtones folder on your iTunes.

How long can the "audio note" recording be before it reaches its limit?

it can last one minute, which isn't THAT long, but great for short audio notes where you just need to document something quickly.
