ive had this game since release. its a great game,best mmo IMO, but if your gonna get it, wait till a little after christmas, then the servers will be merges, and there will ppl to actually play with. it was a combonation of too many servers and ppl leaveing in teh beginging that caused server ghost towns x_X server merges will fix it tho. AoC FTW!!!!

I had lvl 80 barbarian on crom(pve) and level 59 ranger fury(pvp) and level 45 barbarian fury(pvp.. and i wish i could move my barb instead of trying to make a new barb to 80 on the pvp server. they really should make a character be able to move to another server.. its the only reason why i quit, cuz i dont want to spend my whole life trying to get back up to 80 again with barb -.-

With the server mergers happening they are allowing players to move their characters from a server to move to any other server for free once. Check the main site and the forums for more info about it, but might be a good time to come back!

They will provide with one free character transfer after the mergers are in place, so you can move your barb. Look up the Merger FAQ on the official forums.

Pretty funny video.  I too like this game much better than wow and war. I have been playing it since release with a little break during the time a few others quit. I tried buying wotlk, but playing a dark templar was more fun than trying to get my ret pally to 80 and my dk past 60, wow was so boring i didn't even burn my rested exp ever.

I love the video, it's VERY funny, but I miss AoC. Sure it had its bugs but all around in its completed form that never came to be, it was to be a good game.

I might renew my sub some time before christmas if I get bored of waiting for my presents though. ;)

Whole with mmorpgs is they constantly evolving for better or worse! Re AoC its much improved, still bugs but not half as many, though id waitt ill new year to resubbed after server merges are done. Will never have being a better time to return, its alot of fun now.

The alarming part is that this actually happens.

It's pretty hilarious and ridiculous how AoC pvp-ers are so "RP-phobic." People on pvp servers refer to killing mobs as "RP." Any endgame raid, which is done primarily for purple-named gear (epic), is deemed "RP" and avoided like the plague.

Refusing to raid for better gear, and refusing to participate in the game, while heckling anyone who wishes to do so, is kinda retarded. THAT attitude is what will kill the game.
