Dudes, I understand that Bluebear wanted to build a car without technology but not making a change that would have made the car a lot safer AND wouldn't have changed the appearance at all is a mistake. Bluebear got Tig fired by constantly bullying Tig for days. What made it worse was Duane and Boyd encouraged the bullying instead of respecting Tig's choice not to be harrassed. In the end Tig lost concentration and got fired because he was distracted. I really hoped Bluebear got fired - and he has been - and I am not sorry to see Boyd is dead. I only hope Duane gets his shit sunk. That would complete the circle.

I could point out numerous times where Boyd was an ass. Charley Hutton, Mike, etc... But right or wrong, Boxing Bluebears frame against his will was dead wrong. It was not Boyds frame to mess with. End the contest, Fire the guy, do whatever you want but to box the guys frame behind his back was wrong.
I only saw about 5 of these shows but every one I saw looked like the worst possible advert for any business. Right throughout the traditional rod build off between Boyd and Bear there were unfinished cars in the shop that never seemed to move or get worked on. If I'd owned one of those and was waiting for it to get finished while the entire team was dicking around and arguing on camera I'd be pretty pissed off.
BlueBear's real name is Chad Geary, and I can't find any current info on him anywhere. I believe the only reason they kept him around was for plot development, and he just never amounted to anything either during or after the show.

It's a shame Boyd just wasn't diplomatic at all, it served him well for his designs which were great, but he really pissed his work force off. I would have loved Bluebears job but tbh, I think Bluebear did really well to stick it out as long as he did.
I agree with another comment on here that bad bosses are like cancer.

Bluebear was such a fat tool, Boyd, no matter how people view him as a boss, was a good man and an extremely talented artisan. What Bluebear didn't seem to realise was that Boyd gave him more chances than he really deserved and he got too big for his boots. Many people would have done anything to have a chance to have Bluebear's opportunities but Bluebear threw it back in Boyd's face. RIP Boyd Coddington.

I only saw about 5 of these shows but every one I saw looked like the worst possible advert for any business. Right throughout the traditional rod build off between Boyd and Bear there were unfinished cars in the shop that never seemed to move or get worked on. If I'd owned one of those and was waiting for it to get finished while the entire team was dicking around and arguing on camera I'd be pretty pissed off.

BlueBear's real name is Chad Geary, and I can't find any current info on him anywhere. I believe the only reason they kept him around was for plot development, and he just never amounted to anything either during or after the show.

If its not Boyds way its the highway. Boyd was a real shithead, a self-centered asshole that fired all his personality if it didnt fit his tight ass. He had such a good staff but more than half of it left or got fired. Never seen a worse leader, he tried to gain respect with his bossing "i know it all" attitude. Im glad these great guys have a better job now. And i would gladely employ them all on my own.

Yeah, Boyd was a real ass on camera. But it probably doesn't help that most "reality" show producers only like to show people when they're behaving at their worst, and whenever they do or say anything smart or nice it just gets edited out. If Boyd did have a good side we'd have no way of knowing about it, thanks to the people in charge running the media.

That includes smart or nice notations. Compare with American Choppers. We see alot of fights, jokes, hugs etc. but we dont see a ass that fire his personel just cos they dont fit his opinnion.
