Doubt you'd do it, but I'm an extreme audiophile, and I was wondering if it's possible to get a FLAC/WAV version of this perhaps? Thank you ever so much if you oblige.
Okay. I came. This is one of the coolest themes in Metroid history, I don't give a shit what the hack game critics say, and M2 was brilliant. This remix kicks OVER 9000 kinds of ass.
Am I the only one who wishes for a Zero Mission style upgrade for Metroid 2? It certainly could use the graphical upgrade at least, far more than the first Metroid did.
I love the remix and everything, It's the best I've ever heard, but I am more for the sound effects used for music (If you listen hard enough, the one that stands out is when you are hurt.) very catchy, I will come here often.
... are you the music composer for the Metroid II homebrew remake game? cause it sounds exactly the same ... If not you should... you will get more advertisment that way and you are PRO ENOUGH!
I am interested in remaking the Metroid II soundtrack. It shouldn't be too tough a job, seeing how there's like, 4 tracks, and the rest is pure ambiance. Of course, if it was my choice, I would add one (or two) compositions of my own in there.
It is on my agenda to cover more Metroid II tracks. Unfortunately, at the moment, I haven't the time. Also, I would like a little more experience under my belt before I cover certain songs in it.
This song isn't really representative of my composition ability. I would suggest he listens to something like... say, Maridia I. That shows off my ability for ambience. This is more, as stated numerous times, a "tutorial" mix.
Great tune man. Kinda gives a feel of exploration, though more for an overworld setting like Tallon Overworld or Aether Temple Grounds than in an underground setting. I like it very much. ^^
I do like the SR388 theme but from the first run through it does sound a bit too relaxed. For me personally it doesn't really have the same feel Metroid 2's tunnel theme had, and it has been done so many times already by other people. However the pros here are a nice ambient feel, a few nice instruments that seem to work here and there and it's better than some of your other stuff.
Don't take this as a bad comment if you can, I do love your music usually. Please continue making Metroid music =)
I wasn't trying to replicate the feel of the tunnel. The song is to be used in a tutorial / options menu. So if it feels relaxed, it succeeded in what I wanted it to do.
But I do thank you for the comments. Any criticism is always appreciated. If I never got any criticism from my first mix (which is in the video response), we wouldn't be here with this mix. =)
Gorgeous. Love it. Caputres the real feeling of that part of the game. Well done :)

Good, but it doesn't really have that same perky feel it gave to me.
iPodDude21 7 months ago
@iPodDude21 I wasn't aiming for that in this mix. I was aiming for a "chilled" mix.

Dayum, this would actually be great for a tutorial or menu theme. Nice and soft, but groovy nonetheless. Nice rendition of a classic theme. ^_^

@deathrooster14 AMR2 uses an engine built buy the guy making it. It just looks, and more or less plays the same as MZM/MF.
