  • haha a toad? I've never heard that expression when talking about fish. Also, I don't think that is a steelhead.

  • Act more talk less RTARD

  • orgasm

  • o'' they get alot bigger ....here in BC canada

  • A steel head is a trout that lives in either the ocean or the seas.

  • @gcollin75 Actually, Steelheads can live in fresh or salt water...

  • wise up u twats thats a fish finger

  • had a 17.3lb rainbow on 5lb trace and would have lost it in a second if I played it like these guys fish., looked to be maybe4-6lb ,obviously neither are interested in landing it as the guy playing it had no net, hope they are using barbless hooks if they are not intending to land the poor fish.

  • @perseus43 doesnt look barbless

  • สวยงามมาก :)

  • no me vengan a ensuciar los rios de la patagonia gringos putos culos coloraos,no sirven ni pa mierda...

  • That was a sea run tuna. lol

  • There are no steel head trout in West Virginia streams. We consider a fish a "native" fish if it is born in the stream, not stocked.

  • Comment removed

  • native is ....the fish was there from beginning..if its a stocked fish then if its native it would depend on if the area was ever stocked...to be native means to be part of the original blood line it would depend on clipped finns and size and date if ever stocked...if it was stocked 5 years ago an the fish was 15 pounds the it would exceed stock date ...then that fish would be native

  • Cleatus and Judd done' caught them sumpn' good!

  • native rainbow? rainbows arent native in the US im sure of it.

  • @shootinshotguns that may be true but it means the fish was born in the river

  • @mckiller45 i think they are considered "wild" when they are born in the stream. Because it is not "native" to the state or country. btw nice fish!

  • I THOUGHT YOU SAID IT WAS A TOAD?

  • aww i wanted to see the fish thats why i clicked the video

  • @thinkipwnurcat if u look closely u can see the fish in the water!

  • WTF is a TOAD ?

  • @sshthamesnat123 the term toad means a monster fist

  • @sshthamesnat123 A TOAD is an absolute TOAD. I mean he is a toad, an absolute TOAD.

  • @sshthamesnat123 a toad is an amphibian

  • great video and nice fish, but fuck you flybumsforever i guess your just the fly fishing god its dickheads like you that rewen my fuckin day. if all you have to do is put snoody ass comments on peoples vids go fuckin find something else to do.

  • this is awesome, having fun is what fishing is all about.

  • @TheNathaniel0007

Nice fish regardless of what it is. Nice scenery in the background. Looks like a great place to backpack and go camping too. Check out youtube.com/user/almalfish?feature=mhsn

  • I fly fish a lot of streams here in WV and 20" + trout are becoming much more common, finally. I caught a 27" 7 1/4 lb cut throat last year and it was probably the most awesome fight I've ever had. Beautiful fish and he's back in the water for someone else to try and land. Catch and Release for the win!!!!!!

  • try stripping in the line instead of reeling espcially with no drag?

  • First of all where in the world did you learn to hold a fly rod like that, dumbest thing I've seen, the the rod has a cork handle for a reason...use it, and stop high sticking the fish all the time totally unnecessary. Second of all, there is little seen of this fish to speculate exactly what it is rainbow or steelhead that being said West Virginia is an extremely unlikely place to find steelhead so it was most likely a rainbow. Toad??? I would really find another descriptive word than that.

  • fucking come down retard

  • There are no "native" rainbows on the East coast and there are no native browns in the US.

  • @musky70 We have Native Brook Trout here in WV, and a few streams cold enough for rainbows, cut throat and browns to naturally reproduce in. Trout fishing here is becoming much much better finally.

  • what wt rod you using

  • good fishing congratulations of brazil

  • That's clearly a pikeminnow on crack. ;)

  • is sucks...where is the fish?

  • Learn how to play a fish. And that is not a Steelhead

  • @motorob94 Nor was it 21-23 inches either

  • @motorob94 atleast there having fun. unlike MR grumpy got to put them down just cuz they dont know better

  • @motorob94 steelhead are ocean ran and usually have to be a certain length, at least that is how it is in Idaho. So for all you know it could be. Just sayin =]

  • Nice hog. What county are u in?

  • all u guys go to newzeland for the reel back contry exsperiance and to catch the feeling of the roor beutiful of the south island of newzeland

  • @carneyUGVC You are so wrong, the stress wont kill them, what he did was completely safe for the fish.

  • @ntwvideos Actually stress can kill a fish... Not that these guy did anything wrong though.

  • no look up steelhead definition they are an andronomous trout which means sea going as in ocean, not lake.

  • why do people call rainbow trout steelhead? i live in b.c we have steelhead. a steelhead is a trout that is born in freshwater makes its way to the ocean spends its adolecents in the ocean when it matures it makes its way back to its native stream to spawn.

  • @MrSteelheadfisherman The difference between a rainbow trout and a steelhead, is the smolting phase. When steelhead are a few months old they "smolt" which means they head back to the ocean/lake to grow bigger. A rainbow trout will be a stream resident year round.

  • @rauchge080591 You're wrong. A steelhead is a rainbow trout that migrates to the ocean and ocean only. There a lot of trout that live in lakes and move into streams when they want to spawn, but that doesn't make them a steelhead. There's also brown trout that do the same thing, but they are called Sea Run Brown Trout.

  • @Hookinem Actually, you're quite wrong. In the great lakes watershed, the fish migrate back to the LAKES, and yes i am aware that brown trout return to a OCEAN or lake as well. Therefore, fish DO return to a lake, in the Great Lakes Watershed, and return to a OCEAN on the east/ west coasts. I don't know why it was necessary to try and prove me wrong?

  • @rauchge080591 The only reason the great lakes have a steelhead run is because they were planted in there in 1966. A true native steelhead migrates to and from the ocean. The reason I wanted to prove you wrong is because you are wrong. You said a rainbow trout will be a stream resident all year. That's not true. Have you ever caught trout in a lake? Those same trout can be found in the tributary of that lake. That doesn't make them a steelhead.

  • a toad a toad a absolute toad ahahahahahaha

  • To all the 12 year olds you have not caught a fish the size you are talking about in a river that size...now hush children are supposed to be seen not read.

  • I'm 12 and a caught a 24 inch trout on a prince Edwards nimgh but nice trout

  • this is tiny compared to the fish in NZ. I estimate this fish to be 5lb. Im 12 and i have caught 10lb trout.

  • @gibsonkawasaki We all know NZ is a great fishery and we all wish we could be there, but you shouldn't go and make your country look like a bunch of cocky fu*ks.

  • little trout

  • where in WV? I live up there.

  • im going on 12 mate and i caught bigger than that but nice fish

  • Ok....i sat thru that whole vid hoping to see this fish out of the water...wtf...

  • I diden't know West Virginia had steelhead runs!

  • i got a 16 inch i thought that was big hahaha nice fish

  • It is consdiderably small

  • Did anyone else hear banjo music?

  • what stream is this cross creek? im moving to WV soon

  • wonderful place ;)

  • Is that a tail water, or are these sea run fish? That's a small stream for fish that size. Great Rainbow by the way, nice job.

  • Good1. Nice rainbow. We only have huge brown trouts here..

  • any trout is a good trout haha

  • what the hell you doing motherfucker?

  • Hey guys come on up to Alaska and fish the Kenai, Susitna, or Lake Illiamna drainages for some really big bows :)

  • @carneyUGVC well said

  • it doesnt look that big. the average is 20-25 inches. and i dont think it is much larger than average. i have caught 30 inchers in PA where i live. they are not too common but fight like no other. but glad to see other people fly fishing for this amazing fish. what fly were you using.

  • nice fish mate, good vid.

  • OH goodness gracious you can give me a reach around later in the gorgeous woods.

  • I think the problem with this video is naming the fish a monster.

  • thats a really nice fish. i am going to start fly fishing, and hope to catch something that big. that is awesome. i cant believe you dont have any drag at all.

  • i caught a 26' 7 pound rainbow fly fishing in blue lake

  • Nice fish fellas. Fly fishing is my vice and passion, but it really is a shame that the sport is overrun with ego-maniacs who want to flex their "fish knowledge." It's pretty easy to instantly dismiss 80% of the comments on here, but what's really sad is the 20% who actually do know their shit and have chosen to blast you as if there is a handbook on how to act when you have the biggest fish of YOUR career on the end of your line. I'm sure all the haters on here had oscar winning performances.

  • @NandS1213 what is the point of typing these in facebook? i mean seriously....

  • americans are the dumbest people on our mother earth

  • @jotatanka I'm American and by reading a lot of the comments on here I want to agree with you, but don't use these idiots to judge Americans. These people are the scum of any country. I guarantee you in your country you have these idiots as well.

  • is that a 3wt setup? using a setup for stream trout trying to make average fish look huge isnt cool.

  • fuck all these people. nice fish man.

  • how the hell do you fish with that thing man?? i want to learn

  • where in WV are you at? I live in NC, im trying to fins some good spots!

  • i think ive been to that stream if you havent already been here you should try cherry or cranberry river in richwood wv

  • that fish was not that exciting but if thats what it takes for you to enjoy life calling a nice trout a monster ok

  • dumbass

  • @carneyUGVC Can you please point me in the direction of scientific research that demonstates that playing fish out, as in this video, will result in their death?

  • wild rainbows not native rainbows. for fly fishing purists you should get the facts about your fish straight. billies.

  • @fishslayer4 Native means wild buddy check the DNR and a dictionary.

  • you look so fun ! nice video buddy

  • Comment removed

  • @TheGrownUpAdult You did not catch a fish that size in a stream that small with a fly rod now just shut up.

  • @TheGrownUpAdult You're an idiot...How about you post up a slideshow then...

  • zNIce fishing

  • this videos is socks..... this rock no fish...

  • Nice.. I need to get back out.. Since I moved out of the sierra's I have not been to any good water for my 3wt rod. God I miss it so.. Thanks for the reminder of what I am missing. Going to set a trip up. Flamming Gorge or Silver Creek..Where is this at ?..

  • calm down alright4u, it has no impact unless u dont revive them

    TOAD, never heard that terminology

  • yea I never heard that one either

  • osama te apoyo!

  • if you had no drag then why did you get so excited over the drag running??

  • @8355164callme ..Apparently you know nothing about fly fishing. How fly reels work. There is a zero drag set on the real.which means the real is controlled with the palm of your hand.

  • @24hosting actually i prolly spend more time fly fishing then you do.. i just dont get it your excitement over having your "zero drag". now if you had your drag a few pounds under breaking your tippet then would be a whole different story..

  • de la forma que agarras la caña es un pecesito, pequeño!!!! cuando quieras sacar un buen pez, veni a la patagonia!!!!

  • I enjoyed the video, but there is no such thing as a "native rainbow" in WV. Rainbows were brought from the west coast, and browns were brought from Europe.

  • does it really matter where they came from? honestly?

  • @shot0fclarity08 But if a fish has been spawned or survived more than a few seasons without being caught they have gone"native" I think you're talking about species.

  • @Ih8stupidhumans

No. There are no natives on the east coast, sorry.

And a steelhead is a rainbow trout that goes between fresh and salt water.

  • @shot0fclarity08 Yeah I got schooled on that one by another angler I was going off something my uncle told me back in the 70's and apparently he didn't know as much as he thoght he did, my apologies.

  • @Ih8stupidhumans No problem at all man. Just thought you might like to know, wasn't trying to be an ass. Great video btw.

  • @shot0fclarity08 Yes I did appreciate being corrected, I didn't think you were buddy. This wasn't made by me but I'm going to make a few of the Chatooga and Eastatoe in a few weeks and post them on youtube.

  • i got a 24 inch rainbow mounted.. next year caught a 26 inch rainbow... let it go

  • Please take control of a big fish. Do not wear them out- if you are a real catch and release type.

  • LOL... Does West Virginia even have native rainbows? And Im sure there's no Steelhead in any of theem waters....

  • haha nice video man, keep having fun

  • Class vid have you any pictures of or more video footage of the rainbow thanks.

  • obviously they never got it in or they would have shown that video.

  • you are a fucking moron.

  • you are a fucking moron....buy the looks of your youtube page, videos, pictures..etc etc...i can guarantee you just described yourself 100%

  • looser

  • @bayekane don't you mean "BY" not "Buy" xD Did you buy (bought) your graduation certificate :D who's the moron now :]

  • @TheTdmo It's still you! XD

  • @seattlehawkins your mom's the morron XD cuz she gave birth to an idiot like you :] people make mistakes though ... feel free to call yourself "Mum's & Dad's mistake " :]

  • @TheTdmo Misspelled "Moron"....Ouch!

  • @bayekane i agree with you

  • People say spinning gear is for kids but I challenge anybody to come where I fish and catch more or even larger fish than me. I fly fish as well so I am not a hater, I just know that I catch larger fish when I am throwing an F13 Rapala than when I am throwing a # 18 nymph or a dry.

  • @eveltrout I'm just learning Fly Fishing but I LOVE my ultralight ugly stic with a panther martin lure always seem to catch something with those, Spinning gear is highlly underrated for stream and river use.

  • walk were the fish is going you will be able to land it quicker.

  • Comment removed

  • is it your first fish!!

  • Fly fish the San Juan River in Northern New Mexico....... then you can have some real fun!

  • Great catch for any river or stream anywhere!

  • this is what yankees do .... now look at redneck fishing it would be "look at that big mother fucker!"

  • I got a 30 inch 10 pound steelhead just last week.

  • @greg0rius Lol..

keep strutting yourself. Stop trying to out man someone on youtube, it makes you look like an idiot.

  • that makes no snese

  • @BentRodMedia it makes no sense to you because I wasnt talking to you :)

  • shhhhhhh. Can't you see i'm trying to fish?

  • what weight size?is the pole

  • 4wt 8'6 tfo...with a broken reel with no drag :)

  • is he a toad?

  • haha it's a shark, toad steelhead!

  • I found it, its short but you see that pig what a brutte I can appreciate the excitement In ohio on the CREEK I fish a pig is 16 and if your lucky maybe a 20

  • oh man make it up to canada! i ahve three rivers really near to me. oshawa creek, duffins creek and rouge river. biggets was a 36 inch steelhead in the spring. buddy got a 47inch chinnok this past spawn aswell

  • hahaha!!! dude thats a TOAD!!!!

Im officially callin ma fish TOADS!

  • what in the fuck is the point in watching a fishing video where you dont actually get to see the fish...?

  • watch the second video......

  • can you read on write? read the info about the flick...there is a relase video you fucking retard!

  • Coz there probably wasnt one on in the first place! Lol

    Kidding!

  • lol im goin to start calling my trout that are huge.... TOADS lol.....

  • LOL hear the idiot breath :P

  • Hey I've been fishing all over the US and that fish is quality anywhere The UK guys crack me up If it wasn't for them there would be no browns in the US and if it wasnt for the US there would be no browns in NZ The only thing I dont get is why so many people put their fish on the reel As far as AK goes there isnt a place on earth where you get that many shots at huge bows, and a fish like that in the DubV is a feat here in Oh we have the same issues with the stocking programmes, they suck!

  • come to Michigan we have big trout, dont believe? just check the NEW World Record Brown Trout caught on the Manistee river in michigan. Our fishing is good, even tho its not as good as it once was

  • Dude all of Michigan's rivers hold freak show big fish but you cant consistantly go and catch big fish everytime you wet a line Alaska is the only spot where you can consistantly catch fish over 20 inches still though the Manistee and the Au Sable hold monsters

  • Not a big fan of trolling for trout......the michigan catch was freakish but not on a fly rod which is disapointing!

  • Spinning tackle is for children! The last time I picked one up was the last time the Mets won a series!

  • spinning tackle is for drop shotting(A WELL USED TECHNIQUE FOR ANY FISH), for throwing ligher crank baits that a baitcaster cant and for jigging in any water. if you dont sue spinning rods you are retarded they are the easiest and most sucessful way of fishing.

  • exactly we're talking about trout fish in a river not walley and bass fishing I'll use one in saltwater when the winds too much other than that you said it yourself its the "easiest" what fun is easy?

  • Hey whats the title of the part 2 I cant find it

  • Rich Rod is a Cock Sucker!!!

  • @bayekane I don't know him but I agree

  • be a leader not a follower

  • @bayekane hahahhahahahahha

  • @bayekane haha my buckeyes will take care of rich rod

  • Fly fishing is by far the hardest fishing ive encounterd. and I have seen a 11 pound walleye out of a river, try catching a walleye out of a lake that large. U can but difficult. 26 inch browns, and 27 inch goldeye in our local river along with that monster walleye, Very nice fishing where you are, very nice country by the looks of it. where is that located?

  • everyone is beakin how "they always" catch fish way bigger

but that a nice fish considering the species, and that is was on a stream, sure some might always catch bigger on a normal rod, but thats a nice fish for a stream on a fly rod

  • that was weird! strange fellow out that way folk

  • what a pair of cock smokers you must b idiots if one lil piss ass fish under 8 pounds gets you excited, in NZ anything under 20 fish isnt worth gettin out for

  • lol Dumbass Ocean>river durrr no shit u catch bigger fish lol

  • noobs*

  • Where in WV is this at?
