  • why the fuck did you block your speed retard????

  • you drive so scary relax man

  • @AJMcCrae the police definitely don't have anything like that. pretty sure you're just making shit up

  • Where are you? USA? Nice road!

  • 50 people missed the Like button....

  • within legal limits whahaha how lame!

  • how diid you hold the camera over the bike? thks

  • why you fogged the speed marker. he must not have last of the 100. very slow?

  • fuck, why did u put music!!!!!!!!!!!! the sound of the bike is MUSIC to our ears!

    Fuck

  • @VCRAGE nvm, thank u for not puttin music all the way thru the vid haha

  • Please stop banging gears on the downshift. Front brake pads are so much cheaper. Nice bike.

  • @jamesandrew2000

downshifting with gears to slow down is cooling your engine....how?!?!...simple; closing throttle and decreasing fuel intake so heating by detonations is decreased to the minimum, but same time you have high RPM what makes your oil pump to oil the system and cool itself a bit.....also, there are some "abrasive" effect on other side of all elements in transmission, especially on crankshaft (bottom side of it makes resistance, and symetric abrasion )

  • @Gagibit Sure professor, keep banging away.

  • @jamesandrew2000

Mr Ironic, i worked in factory that produces engines for water pumps at nuclear plants and ships, i was surrounded by 100-150 MD engineers, daily, so, you are trying to say how all those people who are specialists in their business are stupid and dont know shit about how does engine works, please, dont be so pathetic, riding a bike isnt just a handling a curve at high speed and to replace piston once in a while.....take some time with chemistry and physics as well...EOD by me

  • @Gagibit Mr. Ironic here. Ask one of your nuclear water pump engineer friends if it is at all necessary to constantly shock load a rotating assembly three or four times at each stop or if its generally a better idea to use the fucking brakes you silly queen. Watch any on-board video, top level racers don't even do it, but then most of them don't have degrees. So I guess I'm still suggesting that you and your 100-150 non-riding engineer pals to just keep banging away.

  • @jamesandrew2000

ok..fair enough, now you got your point and its right....rapid downshifting is shock load for entire transmission (in such rapid HRPM downshifting can even cause chain to jump foward if bike have a chain transmission)....but braking by downshifting and using a engine to slow down is healty thing for engine...just like i described in post before...maybe we did missunderstood a bit...btw, i am rider, so as some of them too :P

  • these bikes will never look dated just class

  • mooi filmpje:D

  • Nice bike, great video! 5*

  • sweeeeeeeeeeet!!!!

  • Gudd montažžž... :) soo all...

  • Fijne fiets, je rijstijl is niet zo best voor je koppeling lijkt me,

  • this is fucken shit...

  • haha, i love it how u blur out the speed gauge

  • Ducati con cascabeles.

  • ja jongen, legal limits mijn reet.

  • Coole video en uiteraard top geluid!

    DDDDDucatiiii!!

  • Sony HD video cam with high quality mic strapped on tank, no wind noise...

  • Thnx, too bad it is stolen this spring....from me....

  • Seems a bit slow compared to my FZ1

  • After almost 20 years still one of my favorite motorbikes. Old school and rare!!

Good job on the filming! Most likely one of the best clips of an 888 on the net. The sound is awesome!

  • Hi Ralf. Great Video. Would you tell the rest of us how you muffled the wind noise and something about what video equipment you used? Ducati rocks.

  • legal limits???

camon, give us the top speed!

    3 stars

  • Cool video, super cool bike :)

Why have u blurred the tacho dude? Legal limits huh? :P

    Forza Ducati!!!

  • legal limits, lol.

  • my favorite ducati's 851 and 888 :)

  • Wat voor cam setup heb je gebruikt? Vind het geluid bovengemiddeld goed!

  • lol "neautral"

  • I know this area very well, because I lived in the Czaar Peterstraat for 10 years. Did you by chance own a Paso and commute from Amsterdam at the end of the 90's?

  • No sorry, only the 888

  • Brooo-brooooo-brooooooo ^^ Ducati rocks.

  • erg mooie video, fantastisch wil ook een duc!

  • When people ask me "what's your favorite bike?", I'd always say "888".

  • i was think to buy this ducati...but i buy ninja then...tell me how it handle in road

  • LOVE THE DRY CLUTCH RING

  • Trouwens waarom moeilijk doen als je ook Nederlands bent :P

  • That's one hell of a quality cam recording this video!

  • I agree. Additionally, the sound quality is pretty good too- not much, if any wind noise! My guess is that the cam has image stabilization?

  • ook ned?

  • che brutta moto,è meglio andare a cavallo...

  • he drive only safe idiot ^^

  • Got a dame like this myself at 118,5 HP at the rear wheel only for racing that is with open pipes, heavenly music and great fun to race. Think I'll make a movie at Assen GP circuit one of these days...Nice little movie tough...must have been some work to make.

  • to low rpm

bikes are meant to have higher power usually at top end

if i try to shift gears at 6k rpm i will be very slow for sure so i as a result i am use to switch at 10k -11k more or less and do a sweet weelie from time to time:P

  • You do realise that was a Ducati aye...that is the motorbike with lots of torque all the way through the midrange, not just HP up top like some rice burner.

  • yes i know it is a ducatti:)))

that it is why i did not buy one when i look to get me a nice bike:)

i look for something more "scary"(like scary movie:P) and i end up with a "rise burner" that pulls out 200km/h in like 10 sec and i do that in midle 4th gear and i have six

God know how fast my bike it is because it sure scare the shit out of me and the ones that i pass by usually turn the heads and like WTF?:))

    you guys know the felling:P

  • you are right!!

  • la moto è bellissima......è la storia del motociclismo....però tira un po' ste marce...mi fai venire il latte alle ginocchia a vedere che hai ancora 3000 giri da usare....

  • Great video, except the dang wind noise.

  • Where is this. Beautifull bike and wonderfull country. I like the metallic bridge too.

  • dont keep your rpms so low

  • how much does one of these cost?

do you guys think a 600cc is tame enough for a beginner?

  • probably not the best choice but just as long as you are a responsible rider and take it slow at first, you should be ok

  • 600 is not enough. it´s unconfortable

  • Should call the sountrack `Rattle n Hum'.perfect

  • potevi lasciarci guardare il tachimetro.....maledetto :)

  • Great video man, BEAUTIFUL BIKE.

  • Watching this vid just makes me want to go and jump on my 900 Supersport and ride. The v-twin sound is just so wonderful

  • 10000 rpm!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    not 6500---

  • Limacs, you are a goof! Go watch car vids.

  • The 888 is every bit the Classic Ducati as the 75 900SS - it was the bike that saved Ducati from bankruptcy & put it onto the road of becoming perhaps the worlds pre-eminent bike manufacturer. I love the 888. It is the 68' Hemi GTX of motorcycles.

And for the twit who is bragging about his big income and preference for cars...go somewhere else. This isn't for you.

  • Beautiful Ducati!

  • You drive a car, when you can't afford a ducati!!

  • probably a honda civic or a kia rio

  • This bike is worth more than your car

  • un leone - stupendo, cattivissimo. Orgasmic sound, I love it. And the "tin tin tin tin" when you re on neutral, classic.

  • a true classic. cool twin sound.

  • Bedankt voor de ruim 7 minuten genieten.

  • awesome sound...;-)

  • elle est magnifique cette motto c'est tout une légende

  • You are right on the spot!

  • In reality you should blurr out the tach as well cause if you do the math they can still calculate out the speed of the bike.

  • What a noise the best I hear, and the best part the speedometer is erased

  • Just curious as to why one of the gauges looks blocked out? Maybe I was seeing something weird! Nice bike, and it looks beautiful there!

  • nice like sound american v8!

  • Great 888....DUCATI RULES!!!

  • I thought it would be on a track, but its better than nothing. Noticed he was always short shifting, guess didnt want to hurt the tranny.. Does these have rev-limiter?

  • its a beautiful bike ... but its too slow the engine don give that push

  • It's pretty quiet there in Amsterdam, i'm not used to that :)

  • What are u used to then?

  • A good bike, but it was to slow for this kind of.

    I liked =]

  • The style, the sound .... gorgeous. This is a bike for real Ducati enthusiasts, not for posers. People tend to forget it's the race success story of the 851 and 888 why Ducati is still around today. If I had some spare money laying around the 888 is what I would buy, and NEVER sell it again. It's a true legend.

  • man so slow...

  • 888 rule!!!

    Is it a SP5 or a SPO?

  • Doesn't look like an SP5 to me - maybe a strada with single seat and WP Forks

  • This bike is great.

    Thanks man.

  • what a sexy bike,a jewel :D

888 916 and monster are the best bikes ever
