  • The last thing you wanna do is buy a car with long seats and large head rests.

  • 0:28 Why are wipers turned on? I don't see any rain.

  • I love this car!! The airbag just save my life yesterday when I got in to an accident I hit the other car with my from and flip it over! everybody it's safe thanks to great responding safety features!

  • I got one of these for Christmas and I can't complain one bit! I love it! However, the price of gas is steadily climbing and I spent about $30 to fill it up from half a tank...oh and the stereo works WELL lol :-)

  • good review

    but you kinda look stoned

  • I Heard This Car Has No SPEAKERS!!!!

  • @cowsworld32 - I would have lost my mind if there didn't work. Since I am still sane and haven't been committed to any psych wards recently, that means our Versa had speakers. Anyone own the base trim and can say otherwise.

I checked the Nissan website and base trim comes with 4 speakers as standard equipment.

  • Whats the trunk space like? I've just rented this car for a trip... want to make sure there's enough trunk space to get three medium size suitcases from the airport to the condo! Thanks

  • @xlannax11 the trunk is huge for a car in its class. It's quite deep.

  • A 1.6l version of this sedan with 5 speed, A/C, antilock brakes, brake assist, and all the same safety features is all for under 13K. And the 1.6l has plenty of get up and go with the 5-speed. Who needs cruise control with a 5spd, and I don't give a crap about PW, PL, etc. and you can add a CD player for $250 if you order it or put one in yourself like I did. I get OVER 35mpg with top tier fuel too. ;)

  • This car has a lot of great standard features! I'm impressed.

  • that thing has roll up windows and no air con, honestly if i were that cheap i would buy used

  • The Nissan TIIDA has 125 HP.

  • i got the six speed maunel in white for 18.000 but it was worth it went to mexico twice in it

  • yea i was thinking about renting one to go out of town for christmas and after reading these comments i dont see y i shouldn't. its only 190.00 for 4 days to rent it from enterprise.

  • I just bought this car and I love it so much!

  • I have a 2009 VERSA AND I LOVE IT

there is so mush stuff you can custom your versa the way you want it !!

  • eeyyy its mr. side burns !!!!

  • The only thing that's dorkier than that car is the reviewer's outfit.

  • This is the best car ever. Bar none.

  • i didnt understand anything about that accelation thing?

  • okay, my nissan versa has the CRUISE light on the dash board but i have no cruise control button. is that normal?

  • Having the cruise control icon as part of the instrument panel is normal. Having the CC icon lit up is NOT normal.

  • its a nissan,not a nessan,and great car to

  • hi there. I am 5'8 and 280 pounds. Would this car work for me or should i look for acivic or maxima?

  • the only way to know is to take a test drive! You might find it tight widthwise. I'm 250lbs and 6'2" and had no problem driving this car, except my knee kept wanting to lean up against the shift lever (4 speed auto - S trim hatchback). I rented one for a week while I went away just to test it out. Otherwise it's a good runabout.

  • to me the civic actually seems tighter than the fit, versa, sentra ...

an altima, accord, or camry would fit the bill for ya,and if you get 4cyl you can still expect up to 35MPG if you drive em right.

  • $13,000??

    i rather get a CIVIC

  • Civics cost more for insurance over the Versa, Cobalt, G5, Yaris and even Honda's Fit 5 door. Of course this could vary, but US prices are WAY lower than the Canadian counterparts are. Versas start around $15-16K up here depending on what you can haggle'r down too. Civics start around 17-18 for a base 5 speed and no creature comforts. LX four door with alloys will run close to $22K before taxes, delivery etc. It's crazzzy.

  • Can you review the Nissan Sentra?

  • Hey this is NISSAN TIIDA in EUROPE!!!

  • yes it is!

  • This is a great car with excellent fuel economy, especially with the CVT transmission.

  • The 2008 SL has the cvt transmission which also has the power/keyless built in and if you add ABS is 17,265 not 13,000.

  • We test drove the 1.8 S sedan model. Retail price with options (CC, ABS, Power package, 4-speed auto, etc.) was $15,390.

  • the transmission is not lazy it downshifts to get the most power

  • one thing i didn't like with the 4 speed car I rented was when cruising on the highway with cruise control on, it would downshift just if you pressed the 'accel' button. This I don't agree with as I was going slightly downhill and it downshifted just to gain an extra 2-3mph. Never have I had a car that's done this.

  • thats how the saturn vue four-cylinder is...

  • The 6 speed in the Versa is the way to go, even if the EPA states better mileage with the CVT. As for the VUE - GM really lost the ball on that one when they redesigned it this year. Base model weighs in at 3689lbs, which is 500lbs more than other base 4cylinder compact SUVs. The previous 5 speed would be the best combination, or the Honda derived 3.5L V6. GM can't make up it's mind. Pontiac uses Toyota parts/engine and Saturn used Honda parts/engine lol

  • does the nissan versa has the aux audio in?

  • yes my g/f just got a 09' 4-door hatchback and the stereo system is awesome. It also has like a 6 cd changer...I could be wrong on the number. It also plays mp3 data CD's but my g/f mostly uses the aux for her Ipod...but most new cars have an aux, my sentra came with one too. THe versa is really nice though!

  • how much did your g/f paid for it? (if you care to share)

  • Yes.. it does comes with aux audio, ready to connect with MP3 players.

  • mine is an 09 and it didnt come with anything but thats my fualt just make sure you look for the "sl" not the "s'

  • I have had this car for just over a year now - no problems whatsoever - and I drive it fairly 'hard' as I drive 37 miles each way to work and my wife then takes it to work (opposing shifts :D) and drives 10 miles each way ... mine is 'sorta' highway - and her drive is all city - we are averaging about 29 miles per gallon. :D

  • Just bought one a month ago and I love driving it. The cruise control is a bit annoying when you speed it up while cruising, but nothing major. It's well worth the $13,000 we paid for it. Looks awesome in black. Never thought I would say it but "I love my Nissan Versa" getting 28-29 city and 34 highway.

  • a bit uggly outside but a cheap, reliable and practical transportation.A good value.I would definetely buy one.

  • my mom just purchased this one only we didnt get the cvt. it works really nice. and very spacious. we got it in white. pretty satisfied with the car.

  • Regarding his comment on the way the automatic shifts with use of the cruise control, I'm guessing this 4-speed auto is the same as the 4-speed in my friend's 2005 Sentra because hers does the same annoying crap. The slightest incline and it downshifts for no reason, or if you try to accelerate using the cruise control button the same story. It shifts too abruptly too. My cheapo '97 Tracer shifts smoother.

  • dude,i have a 1.6 litre 5 speed manual here in malaysia, climbing steep hills is a breeze because there is so much torque available.
