VERY touching and VERY moving! My Grandfather who passed away early this year, was a part of these very brave gentlemen. If anyone has any information of a MacDoe Robert Hay, he went by his middle name, and hated his first name.
I've got a great picture with My Grandfather and all of his Comrades together in the Netherlands. Alslo nice to see what they went through to get over seas. Great Video!
Outstanding video. Saw a picture of my Grandfather! Thank you for a great video.
mr10am, the 48th have always been a reserve unit and that is what makes everything that they have accomplished in their very storied history even more incredible!
I'd been a proud piper for 42 years and proud tae be... Please ! What' s the name of the first retreat march plaid on the soundtrack and which band plays it ?
Very moving, I think to the men who fought and fell for the sake of liberty, I'd been a piper for 42 years and proud to be, I once plaid for the British legion, to inaugurate a stele to commemorate the crash of a Halifax bomber, near Annecy france, in 1943, it's an unforgettable day to me, I plaid before the flags to lean the RAF men to a meeting place, after the ceremony
please what's the name of the first retreat march plaid here and which band plays it, ?
awesome video! My great uncle Lloyd was part of the 48th and was captured and taken POW by the Germans near Riminy, Italy. Are there any pictures of the Italian campaign??

The 48th Highlanders Museum has numerous photos taken in Italy. Can the museum get a picture of your Uncle Lloyd?
