  • five years later and i'm still fucking enthralled by this video. so pissed i missed this tour

  • the 5 of you who disliked this video must seriously be the most horrifically rancid people to walk the planet. go fuck yourselves for such disrespect.

  • fuck. i have goosebumps.

  • Shit, even the security guy in the bottom left is tapping his hands. Incredible performance.

  • holy shit everytime i come across a video that says "Manchester Orchestra, Brand New, Kevin Devine", I scream.

  • goosebumps exactly 6 inches off of my skin. AMAZING

  • will this ever happen again?

  • I would have LOST MY SHIT if i saw this. manchester alone is amazing live, add brand new to the mix and i think ive completed everything i set out to do. GG

  • brand new kevin devin and manchester orchestra need to tour together again. ASAP

  • @bramschreiber get out

  • @bmurray714 Of life.

  • That Ending

    O_______O

  • I'm pretty sure God was playing drums when they recorded this song.

  • lol jesse hurt his leg during laser tag. classic.

  • splooge-tastic

  • Sigh. This tour was so amazing. I wish I could relive the show I went to during it.

  • fun fact after the show every one in attendance committed a mass suicide because there was nothing left in life for them to see

  • I heard that the Manchester Orchestra were formed when Jesse Lacey sneezed in a public place and a group of youths accidentally ingested his liquid essence.

The youths would then become the Orchestra

  • I may have just shed a tear watching this.. haha. This is what music should be, true artists pouring their hearts out on stage. And is that Vinnie Accardi on the 2nd drum kit??

  • Jesse was going through one of his Robert Smith phases during this performance...

  • Fuck yeah!!

  • fucking amazing

  • Im not quite sure whose voice I like better in this. I am a HUGE fan of Jesse Lacey, and I think the emotion in his songs is unmatched by any other. But, in this particular video, you can almost see the anger and pain seething out of Andy Hull's being. These two men here are unbelievable seperate, and perfection when together. The only thing that would make this better, is more Kevin Devine.

  • f'n epic! god I love these guys!

  • Am I the only one that thinks it's weird that Garrett Tierney is the only one not up there? Even Derrick Sherman is there.

  • This is ridiculously awesome! Holy Flyin Lemurs!!

  • repeat

  • The only thing that could make this song more amazing is fucking Jesse Lacey and Kevin Devine.

    Goosebumps. <3

  • The harmony between the two voices is really good. Seriously. This might be the only group of people I'd pay to see scream at the top of their lungs. Without microphones. That's gotta be therapeutic. Lol.

  • *Shouts out random cuss words* I can't believe I wasn't there! I very honestly can't think of a better song/people to watch preformed live. And I just saw Manchester Orchestra at this exact place a week ago. And was thoroughly disappointed when they didn't play this. This is like a spit in the face.

  • How can you be in this crowd and NOT be fucking dancing?!

  • gwaeuywiruager this is awesomeeeeee!!!!!

  • 5 people accidentally hit the dislike button.

  • Sick & wrong to Be this good & what a An EPIC ! MATCHUP!

  • i love Jesse's dance at 3:35!

  • Nothing is as good as this, it's nice hearing someone actually manage to sound as good as this live, it's better than the studio version.

  • Fuck..

  • Epic

  • Oh my god, my two favourite bands ever in one song. ajhaskdakjasda it's like perfection.

  • Near tears. Holy fuck. Andy and Jesse screaming "God, my god, where exactly have you been?" really hits me. Fantastic performance as always.

  • That much amazingness hardly fits on that stage.. M.O., Kevin ANNND Jesse? I wouldve died of pure joy had I been there.

  • who else digs the random bass kick at 1:03? fuck yes. can't wait to see M.O. for the 4th time in my life on may 4 in chicago. boom.

  • What I would do to have been there for that

  • Am I the only one that would jumping up and down all over these people inevitable getting kicked out prolly?

  • he is limping cuz he fell 15 feet playing laser tag.

  • "Fuck Yeah!"

  • anyone else see jesse limping?

  • @Smp005

he fell playing laser tag not long before this show

  • can you take this and make it a higher quality?

  • can anyone take this and posibly get it into a better quality?

  • this is the happiest moment of my life

  • Those 5 people who disliked that song? Y'all don't know what music is. This is AMAZING. I'd give my left nut; hell, I'd give both of my nuts, just to be on stage with these guys at this performance.

  • Goosebumps. Only word to describe this.

  • i would pretty much sell my soul to see this live.

  • Beautiful. Absolute perfection in every sense of the word.

  • Sweet Jesus. I've died and entered a musical wonderland.

  • fuck me

  • this is definately the best song and performance ever.

  • Amazing.

  • Terrible crowd only appreciated it when Jesse came on, the whole song is epic.

  • Even The Fat Security guard is digging it at 4:05

  • Fuck that.

I think my world just imploded at the pure beauty of that.

  • lmao at the "FUCK YEAAAAH!"

  • this video makes me want to cry.

    :'(

  • Jesse Lacey, I love you. so much.

  • I wonder how many people realize how much Jesse and Andy have been through with struggling with God and faith. That's what makes this video so intense to me. Listening to a lot of their past stuff that people think is about girls or other relationships is sometimes actually about their struggle with God. It's like you can see the passion and despair from all of that in this one performance. Amazing.

  • damn. i remember seeing them do this touring with brand new a few yrs ago. it's all about the passion, baby.

  • best show ever dude

  • pure bliss.

  • how can you watch this and not add it to your favorites. seriously

  • this just makes me happy

  • who is the 3rd band cause i see 3 frummer i know brand new and Manchester but who else ?

  • @zjblair the 3rd drummer is from Kevin Devine's band.

  • HOLY shit my fav bands together ! this is awesome

  • @CloseStudios Mine too. My brain almost exploded the first time I watched this

  • Andy Hull is in another fucking world when he performs. So much respect for that man. Quite possibly the greatest collaberation the music industry will ever see.

  • ARE VIN ACCARDI AND BRIAN LANE BOTH ON DRUMS!!!!?????

  • I was there!

  • I will never get tired of watching this. Ever. Most intense thing in the world.

  • @dddrumddd gives me chills every time

  • wow 4 dislikes...fucking communist!

count how many musicians are on stage!

  • I can only think of one thing that would have made this video better and that's if I was there.

  • i just cannot fathom how any band can be so good! and its harder to understand how there are 2 bands that good out there

  • band is fuckin immense. beautiful lyrics, intense build-ups, they're just... hard to describe, really.

  • lmao@ 3:15.... "FUCK YEAH!!!"

  • holy shit, man. this performance was the gutsiest most raw live performance ive seen in a very very long time. So it brings the question....What is up with that friggin crowd!? This is utterly amazing...

  • @CoryAKAknoxville

judging from the screams when Jesse starts singing they were there for brand new and might not have listened to MO before.

It's really hard to get into something live if a) you've never heard if before or b) nobody else is into it either

  • This is too incredible.

  • everytime i watch this im thinking 'hooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooly shittttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt'

  • tooooooooo gooooooooooooooood

  • amazing!

  • soooooo amazing.

  • @kennedycarolyn They're hot, tired, and having to concentrate on so much stuff at the same time. Of course they're not going to sound the same. And, they're not going to sound like Modest Mouse because they're NOT Modest Mouse. These guys are just awesome all the time. ...and, you're pretty stupid.

  • @kennedycarolyn

definitely not like modest mouse, first of all.

and do you honestly go to tour shows (or any live shows) much at all? very rarely do bands ever sound like they do on albums live unless it's a techno-crap band. anyone who expects the same is an idiot.

  • @kennedycarolyn what are you talking about?

have you ever seen either of them live?

  • I love this, but I don't appreciate the excessive china-ing in the back. Hahaha

  • I'd give anything to play with all of these guys... anything...

  • I love Brand new since forever, than after that I learned about Kevin Devine and I love him also, then I learn about Manchester Orchestra, and I love them. Put the three together, fucking awesome.

  • Is that Vin Accardi on the drumkit in the back/left?

  • @EmilDickson yeah i figured it would be brian but it looks like vin. thats what confused me

  • @EmilDickson looks like it to me

  • whos the other drummer in the back....is that brian

  • this is actually the most amazing thing i have EVER seen.

  • FUCKING AMAAAAAAAAAAZING

  • that was actually awesome

  • @marcfeatherstone whataya mean acutually?

  • @ISCHNIK Goood question :P! Did i expect anything less than awesome... no!

  • No better moment in a live show than when he lowers the mic to scream these lyrics into the crowd...so amazing live. Grows on you the longer you are away from it.

  • Jesse FUCKING Lacey that's who.

  • THIS IS GREAT.

  • such a good song. Jessie is a baller.

  • @bruuuce10 jessie who?

  • @weareoxygen Jesse Lacey

  • @bruuuce10 uhhh check my channel i have a bunch of BN videos, i know who jesse lacey is lmao.. the original poster wrote "jessIE is a baller", i was just poking fun at them ;)

  • The energy is incredible

Jesse just gave me chills 3:05

  • i am in love.

  • dang. Jesse really did have a limp

  • BEST SHOW EVER.

  • Great Song! it's a shame it's a crummy recording. if anyone can point me in the right direction for a decent one please do

  • @starrfishkid did you ever find a better recording?

  • @islandstyls nah im sorry. we could contact the bands themselves and ask them to studio record it :D How sick would that be

  • This is too epic, the drums are just INSANE! What a performance.

  • what does he say at 4:48?

  • i think hes saying "we all say, we all say"

  • thats my town and stubbs is the bomb and man-o is too and so is fucking brand new.

  • This is just about the best song ever?

  • so much sex in one video.... :( i wish i was there sooo bad...

  • The drums are insane. I can't take my eyes off of both of them.

  • @lovelikewinter7634 there are three drummers in there, one to the right, i agree its insane. = )

  • I can't get enough of this freaking video. Christ, probably the best recorded performance I've EVER seen. Makes me cry every time.

  • wheres freeman and garrett?

  • Freemans on the keyboard. I don't know where Garrett is. Hmm.

  • Jesse Lacey is my favourite man ever, and Manchester Orchestra is one of my favourite bands. I cannot handle how fucking incredible their screaming together is.

  • such greatness

  • wow :|

  • dear god, i can hardly handle how amazing this is

  • best 5 minutes and 54 seconds of my life

  • I might have to call bullshit on that...

  • Comment removed

  • oh wow, that's pretty fucking unreal

  • Fuckin' POWERFUL, man.

  • @krosakrosa The end is a "screaming match" between him and god. He says, "god where have you been?" And god replies basically saying how can you ask that, where have you been? If you buy the Let My Pride Be What's Left Behind EP he explains this on the DVD.

  • epic.

  • I love right after Jesse's guest part - "cuz when you look at me, I'll be digesting your legs" "FUCK YEAH!!!!"

  • absolutely incredible. i cannot get sick of this song and it's even better live.

  • If I could, I would go back to 07 and just live through this tour over and over again. Such a great combination, such a great tour.

  • totally agreed. this is when i first heard of manchester, and this song made me fall in love with them. i freaking miss this tour, it was one of the best i've been to.

  • these boys live up the street from me

  • Even the soundguy on the right can't help but tap to this haha..

  • jesse's scream at 4:54 makes my heart physically hurt, in a good way. i just fucking love this more than i can even say! the only thing is it seems like jesse wasnt really sure when to say "god my god" or hold out the "god" and whatnot if you watch his mouth and he adds a little "been" at the end hahaha. still will never get over the drumming in this and how much emotion andy always shows in live performances!

  • anyone know what kind of guitar hull is using?

  • the vocals sound so different compared to shake it out.

  • By far, the best thing I've ever seen on you tube.......51 thousand hits? I claim 30,000 od those. Bless you pioneers of music!

  • son cristianos??

    hablan mucho de dios...

  • No se. Pero si es verdad que cada grupo habla mucho de Dios.

  • you really see the limping from jesse's fall at laser-tag in this video

  • Comment removed

  • two drummers, three vocalist...amazing.

  • there's three drummers

  • use zamzar to turn this into an mp3

  • can someone somehow make this into an mp3?!

  • pretty much the best song to ever hear live

  • Comment removed

  • i agree with the audience member at 3:16. the drumming and vocals in this are fucking unreal, i literally cant stop replaying it

  • i am so moved. i have goosebumps. this is amazing, the emotion kills me.
