It is a waste land below,it's a open pit copper mine.

This is the old launch. We now have a newer launch with a ramp that can also accommodates paragliders.

Actually the ramp is sound. The hang pilots do have a hard time getting to the ramp because of the boulders.They actually have to get out to it going sideways which makes them vulnerable to getting tossed off to the side on to the rocks and deadfall below.Couple years ago a pilot and his wireman went over the side,both of them broke some bones.Luckily I wasn't there to see it.
