Feels like a more serious version of TISM ... who are TISM you ask ? This Is Serious Mum or TISM are a AWESOME Australian band that started in the eighties. Check out the following
TISM - (He'll Never Be An) Ol' Man River (Collingwood Town Hall)
Dead chuffed to find this on the tube. Like to think of funny songs for Xfactor twats wouldnt this just be a show stopper! Laugh so much Id probly let out a bit of wee.
I have this CD, bought it in 1992 during a trip to Scotland. I saw them in a pop mag as well, just hitting the "scene". They were very unique and cool. Now, really have to be in the mood for them, lol. Still very cool....
it's ironic that this was their 15 minutes of fame. huge shame it didn't work out for them, they should've been as big as the prodigy. but lots of happy tattooed people wouldn't look so pretty if they had. (check out into you tattoo)
BACKGROUND INFORMATION POST - This song is clearly about reality television - listen to the lyrics. Whether it is getting buffoons to sing, dance, loose weight or live in a human zoo-house - this song is all for them. 15 MINUTES OF FAME. Years before its time. Prescient.
@icgraves I am aware of that - some artists are prescient. Ever heard of George Orwell ? BTW it is not 'any' Warhol, its 'Andy' Warhol, the famous art-house filmmaker.
Sheep on drugs and Atari teenage riot are the shiz, pity that I can't buy any of there stuff in Ireland(unless its on a sountrack), I just have to scour the internet looking for downloads.
Thanks, I haven't thought of using ebay. I tried searching limewire for they'r stuff but limewire doesn't have anything+I prefer to have a collection of cds rather than downloads. Thanks man. Save my channel as a link buzz me when you have they'r stuff up.
Sorry to hear about your cd collection, part of my cd collection got stolen before aswell thank fully I had outgrown most of the stuff. And yes its always good to find people who like good music.
I first heard of them when I was about 14 in early 90's. Was intrigued by their album cover so bought the tape, having never heard them previously. It was an excellent choice. Great stuff.

Saw these guys at the Irish Centre in Birmingham, UK. I missed the point back then and only wanted to get high! Sounds even better with older ears.

@Lovertits9 the world is still full of bands like this : )
MTV should bring back music and make some programs dedicate to underground bands instead of reality shows that brainwashes people : (

@saturncancer this song came out a long time before reality tv was even thought up. The 15 mins of fame is reference to an any Warhol quote mate

I've collected most of their singles and albums - mostly from eBay UK! I'll upload a torrent of all my SOD stuff eventually.

I actually bought their debut album "Greatest Hits" when it came out (yes I am that old) but that CD collection was stolen.
I use bittorrents for downloads these days. Yes I'll let you know. Always good to find a fellow SOD fan!

Sheep on Drugs is a techno group from London, 1990s. They are fucking brilliant, in case you were wondering. Great warped sense of humour :D
