That is not true. Do your homework. Bees pollinate 2/3rds of America's food. That cannot be done with just wind. Also, fruit, vegetables, and flowers could not reproduce without the bee to pollinate them. Everything plays a role and bees do more than most. I really don't think living without flowers, and just corn, rice, and wheat to eat sounds like a fun life. Don't be an idiot.

Uh, no need to insult like that dude. Not everybody knows all that. And not all plants NEED pollen to grow. Pollen is seeds, not nourishment for plants. If people can grow plants inside their house, then they obviously didn't need any pollen for it. We wouldn't have flowers, but we'd still be able to grow corn, rice, and wheat. There aren't any foods I can think of that sprouts from tree and flower sperm. Bees may pollinate that much of our food, but that doesn't mean our food actually needs it.

Oh, so if plants do not need pollen to grow, why have it? As you pointed out, pollen is seed. That is how plant life spreads and begins. There is no life without some sort of reproduction. Without bees to carry it, there is no life for plants that need it. Pollen is only needed for the "birth" of plants, not the life of them, so of course people can maintain them in their house. But guess where they came from? Pollination. Ergo, no bees=no pollination=no pollinated plants or flowers. That's bad.

I said not ALL plants need to grow. Plants that don't produce pollen don't need it to grow. Food that's grown doesn't need pollen. I just think if bees didn't exist, we'd be just fine. Considering how much pollen gets on my car during the Spring time, I think the wind alone does a decent enough job. I don't think that many bees fly over my car to put mounds of pollen on it. The main thing bees give us is honey. However, they are not a necessity to spread pollen.

Well now that would depend on what food you're talking about. And that they are not a necessity to spread pollen is a lie. There are two kinds of pollination; abiotic and biotic. The former is pollination by wind, latter is by pollinaters. About 80% of all pollination is biotic. That's hummingbirds, bees, butterflies etc. 2% of abiotic is by water, and the other 98% is by wind. So all in all, wind is less than a quarter responsible for pollination. Bees dedicate their lives to pollination.

I'm just tryin to say that I think we could survive without bees. We wouldn't have honey, of course, and we might have a little less plant life, but what difference does that really make when construction sites are constantly cutting down trees and destroying forests to place buildings there?

I did not say they produce pollen, but that's about 95% of what they do and what they're made for. You may think we can survive without them, but the fact is that we cannot. Imagine a life without flowers to create food and shelter for insects, or fruit for food. No vanilla, berries, nuts, vegetables, mint, or honey. All except the last two are important and essential. Not just are they vital to the eco system, but to us. We need fruit to digest food, and prevent scurvy. We need bees.
