Awesome job ... really a blast to watch :-)! Really well done, Sam, and the backup singers, as well as the musicians.

I was VERY relieved, though, that, at the end of the song, your guitar player and the drummer did NOT try to impersonate Pete Townsend and Keith Moon, by smashing their instruments ... pheeew :-)))!!

Ha, the band who won overall for the night - actually did the guitar-smashing thing after their performance of the Who's 'Who are You' ... maybe we'll try that next year - hehe.

Still, I had a friend at school who was playing the drums. And he was so furious whenever he saw some live footage of The Who - when the smashing started, he would moan: "If they really need to get rid of their stuff ... give it to me, give it to me!!" :-)

Great performance! Absolutely vibrant! R.E.P. got a little case of "get too excited, go too fast" for an instant, but Sam slammed that back into shape in a hurry. A shame they didn't place, but there'll be a next time. They have the potential AND the talent, just give them a few more months to whip it into shape.

And congrats, Sam, on Best Vocalist! It's the recognition you deserve!
